Not Always Honorable

Now I was just wondering, when we watch the warriors , we know that its "9 guys, no weapons".  Sometimes I wonder on other days, whether before or aftre the meeting, do you think that the warriors or any other gangs ever used guns?  The reason I ask this, is because in society we are not always going to have honorable one on one or gang towards gang fighting in hand to hand combat.  Now, there was a time, where gangs did have a set of rules, you know to keep some stability, and have a meeting on what they are going to use in battle.  But then there are times, where any man can just simple be a coward, and pull out a gun, just like Luther.  So do ypu think maybe the warriors, incase of emergencys, had an extra gun or so stashed away in order to even the odds.  For all we know, they had individual guns, or only one.  Because guns can be expensive, we don't know hoe rich the warriors are.  So is it a possibility, that the warriors have an extra gun or so, God for bid, "Plan B" needs to be used.

Doubt it judging by Cleon he doesn't look like the type to use a gun in situations as figthing he seemed more like the spirital type when forming The Warriors and using bare hands is likely his choice of weapon as the same for The Warriors in general. I don't think any of the gangs really had a gun as a Plan B approach otherwise you would see the Turnbull Ac's shoot down The Warriors as they were being chased by them in the bus while trying to get to the train.

Likely very few gangs actually carried a gun other than The Lizzies and The Rogues. At that time all of the gangs followed the same rules as far as weaponary so I would say no. If any of the gangs ever did have a gun for a 2nd plan The Warriors would be dead before they even hit home considering The Warriors is the only gang that is unarmed before and after the meeting and of course all gangs were specifically not supposed to bring any weapons which they didn't minus Luther, while the other gangs later on do gear up after the meeting aftering about the acused Warriors shooting Cyrus.

I'm thinking now, If Swan had a gun, then he would of most likely used it against Luther. But if Cleon was packing a gun, the riffs might of saw it beside his body, which gave them all the more reason to blame the warriors. Just a thought.

You guys make good points, but I think your misinterpreting my question a little.  I to believe Cleon and his warriors are thosespiritual warrior types, especially in the heat of battle.  But regardless, that soesn't mean theres atleast one gun stashed away, just for the sake of having it.  Maybe Cleon, never uses, and never hopes that he has to.  Now like I said, no matter how phycotic a gang might be, things were a little bit more respectable when it came towards fighting in battles.  But all I am asking is that unfortunatley in society, a gun might be hidden for rare occations.  Take for example, "West Side Story".  When the Jets, ans Sharks, decide to fight best man agaisnt best man, in hand to han combat, something went wrong and knifes were put into use.  Noe forget the whole night of the meeting, and thos whole code of honor thing for just a second.  Is it safe to assume that, that one little gun can be hidden somewhere by atleast one paranoid gang member.  LIke for instance, while the unks decided to handel the situation withought guns, maybe a punk somewhere in the city just had one for himself.  Now personally I like the fact that it has this old code of honor, gladiator, samurai way of life.  But when it comes down to it, out of thousands and thousands of gang members is their just one paranoid one, wo has one hidden for himsef, just for the "sake of having it"?

Well I think they didn't use guns usually, and that's why I think so:
...if all gangs'd had guns( or other) they'd have shooted the Warriors 4 stopping them.
The word was "I want them alive is possible, if not Wasted!!!"
So the word opened the gates, everyone could have killed the Warriors... and less honest way of doing that was using fire weapons... and if no one did so, it's why  they didn't use guns usually!
Ye lizzies did it, but it was odd... and luther himself admitted he had never fought one to one cause...
... well, we know is a coward!!! Surely that was their fighting code, and it's a honest one, even if you're right adam88 when you say "a gun might be hidden for rare occasions". Cause 4 me every gang had several poblems with organized criminality(Cyrus spoke about it) too, and I think that people didn't think about an honorable fighting code...they should shoot!!! 8)

Exactly The Swan, thats my point.  After all, Malcom X did not condone violence, but sometimes one has to say "By any means necessary", as an alternate route no matter how wisw and disciplined your lifestyle is.  Good point on that.
