Warriors trailer during its time.

I was just wondering.  For those who saw the warriors when it ame out, before the actually premier, was the trailer played constantly on television.  I mean theres even trailers today that don't play as much, if the critics don't like it. I mean, I know after that whole incident of violence that happened after the film was released, caused a lack of advertisement.  But before its release, was it made into a big deal?
