The Stake-Out
The Stake-Out
You know, I've always seen the first quiet police scenes as a sneaky, planned ambush. But now I think, there was no need for a narc or informant. There were 1,000 thugs assembled in a open, outdoor, public place. How long could Cyrus have expected the meeting to go? Those cops would have been called in at the early stages of arrival. No way they all got there within 15 minutes. They must have trickled in over an hour or so.

Re: The Stake-Out
Well I think that Cyrus knew it, you can notice the Gramercy Riffs organization to outflow the crowd, so I believe they were ready.

Re: The Stake-Out
Cyrus would of known that the cops would of came because the cops probably heard about it because most of the gangs where there.

Re: The Stake-Out
Well my theory is that the Gramercy Riffs were the largest gang and had a very heavy reputation and probably had connections with all sorts of people.with them being such a massive gang.so I think that the Riffs would of had tip offs from people and would have scouts all over the place ready to warn the Riffs if the the heat was around or any danger. But I honestly don't think the Riffs would of known that the cops were so prepared to take down all the gangs and take this meeting and use it to their advantage because if they played their cards right they could rack a lot of gang members and put them away.I also don't think that Cyrus and the Riffs knew the cops had set up loads of cops all over the city so that if any gang member was walking the streets they could bust them.

Re: The Stake-Out
I am still convinced that there was a rat in one of those gangs. Maybe and undercover cop.

Re: The Stake-Out
Maybe a gang member got caught by the fuzz days before the meeting and in exchange for his release he told the cops about Cyrus's big meeting up in the Bronx.
Re: The Stake-Out
You see that is what I'm talking about. This is not a jewelry heist sting. They could have just been busted because transit people reported the situation. Cyrus did not plan a secluded enough location.

Re: The Stake-Out
maybe they could have asked for less than 9 members and had the meeting in the riffs hang out looked fair big with the lift and everything

Re: The Stake-Out
This is a great point. Why not, initially anyway, send two guys to a smaller meeting to get things started. Much less chance of assassination that way.stevo2k6 wrote: maybe they could have asked for less than 9 members and had the meeting in the riffs hang out looked fair big with the lift and everything

That is exactly what I was thinking.emissary wrote: You see that is what I'm talking about. This is not a jewelry heist sting. They could have just been busted because transit people reported the situation. Cyrus did not plan a secluded enough location.
One of the gangs wasn't respecting Cyrus' rule of attracting no heat to the meeting. Thats why everyone was paying for the subway in the opening scene's. One gang decided not to pay, maybe the transit authorities called the cops, who followed them, they saw the meeting and called for backup, and there's the sting. As for Luther's gun shot being connected as a 'warning' signal for the cops to move in, I think it was just a coincidence.
We're gonna make it back. We came this far and we're gonna make it the rest of the way!

Re: The Stake-Out
I wondered if maybe Luther was working with the cops. Maybe they caught him for something before the meeting, and in exchange for avoiding a long jail sentence, cut a deal with them to everyone else out, and agreed to take Cyrus out for them. The cops get rid of the most powerful gang leader, and it looks like just a gang hit, and Luther avoids jail.
Re: The Stake-Out
That's a good point for this thread. You should check out the "who is Luther talking to" thread. Very good debates from Warrior PHDs who happen to disagree.eliminator1 wrote: I wondered if maybe Luther was working with the cops. Re: The Stake-Out
Interesting topic. I am not sure really. You see in the warriors world, we never really got to see the whole vision of the essence of who Cyrus really was as a person. Maybe Cyrus became the type of man, who was practically untouchable. Maybe the cops, weren't there just to bust another involvement with gangs. Maybe they were on Cyrus's tail from the beginning, and their was no stopping this man. Now it seems as if this were the cae, wouldn't the FBI, or something be involved, well who knows. But my guess, was that it wasn't so much, the whole conclave but rather catching Cyrus. Cyrus was like a magician, who could escape the impossible. He was formless, shapless, and could not be harmed by law inforcement. So basically what I am trying to say, is that I am speaking on another subject of the police being mostly there for him rather than the whole conclave. This was something that was maybe planned for months, maybe even years. So the whole cop situation was mostly for Cyrus, and Cyrus probably figured, if someting happens, I know I can make it out. But rather than the cops, it was the backstabbing of Luther, who did the job. This topic really varies in multiple formations.

I used to think this. But Luther lies on the phone. He tries to sell the story that it was the Warriors.eliminator1 wrote: I wondered if maybe Luther was working with the cops.
