Idon't mean to sound like I am exaggerating the whole concept of this movie. But for some people, this movie seems to have an over empowering feeling to this film, that seems to put them on another level of existence.  So I was wondering, when people watch his film, do you recognize any symbolic symbols that go beyond its meaning and physical form.  For instance, does the knight time have a different feeling for people.  Can the knight be a world where one can relax their minds, and sooth their souls, or can it be a dark abyss of hell for others.  Does the tunnel Swan goes into, help him get in touch with himself, and know who he is, and where he's going in life?  Does each character have some sort of inner personality that makes them unique as a person, and who they are?  Can ypu say that the train station is a nuetral zone, representing a safe haven from other territories(nations).  Does the whole city itself, represent a mad jungle, in which we have to get past lifes obstacles, to realize what we are, and our purpose is in life.  It may not be as deep as this, but for others it is.  Cand you describe the essence and aura of this film, that leaves a contemplating message in your mind.  What does this film symbolize to you? and beyond that existence.

Actually, I beg to differ.  There can be a deeper meaning within anything, there's no telling what different interpretations people have of different things.  One of the best things about the Warriors is that it appeals to people on so many levels.  Some like it for the camaraderie, the intensity, the action, and some just have love for the characters and their transitioning levels of interaction throughout the story.  I know people who can sit and watch this film for the sake of watching it, others make a drinking game of it...  It's as deep as a person perceives it to be.

I love the fact that the movie just fits easily into the nighttime setting.  It gives it an eerie feel, like anything at all could happen.  At the same time, there's like a safe feeling in the darkness, like it's easy to hide... but how can you hide when you gotta get back home?  People say that the acting wasn't the best, maybe some of the spoken lines could've been a bit better (but you gotta consider the time period) but the smaller details, some facial expressions, gestures, the way characters would look at each other, was great.  You could sense the tension between the team of Warriors dissipating through the movie, and when they reached the beach... After all that darkness and hell, they reached their destination, stronger than ever...  It really captures so much on so many different levels.  Timeless...

Nah, I think that Walter just did the movie as a movie, and thats all he intended it to be, a great story.

But us being the hardcore fans that we are have analysed his good writing and gone deeper into it.
I dont think Walter Hill was intending for it to be that deep, But we have looked into it in more detail.

Not to be boringly neutral but everyone is right here.  The Warriors can make some people go to a place that others don't even see.  That is why we are all here yet so very, very different.  If you see the fights and the danger and wish to see nothing more, that is totally cool.
