Other Gang Movies

Post by PowerPaulie »

Hi Guys,

First of all, I'm very glad I've found this website. It's really great.
As this is my first post, I was wondering if you guys have any other Gang Movies that you like.
I personally like L.A. Gang movies a lot:
- Blood in Blood out
- American me
- Boys in da hood
- etc.

Very different then the Warriors, but still great.

Oh, let me introduce myself.
My name is Paulie, 28 years old.
I live in Amsterdam (the Netherlands)
I think I've seen the Warriors about 10 or 12 years ago on TV, when I noticed the DVD in a record store...I bought it straight away.
I'm a movie fan, I always browse for new DVD's when I can..I especially like extra's on DVD's (which means I often buy American DVD's, because they usually have more extra's).
The directors cut DVD of the Warriors is awesome (bought in in NY last year).
I must have seen the Warriors 10 times or something, I just love it. Maybe it's NY, just can't get enough of that either.
Also I like to point out that the video game of the warriors is one of my favourite games, it's great how Rockstar build it.
Very cool that alot of the actors actually did voices in the game too.
My favourite character is Ajax, because he doesn't care about anything...sort of like O-dog in Menace to society :)

Well, that's it for now.
I hope you guys post some of your other favourite gang movies.

Greets,
Paulie.
I can't make it!
You sure?
Yeah, I'm sure.
Good... I'm sick of running from these wimps.

I did like 'Class of 1984'. Some cool dudes in that movie.  Reminds me of my days at School.

Yes, class of 1984 is excellent.
Just like the warriors there are some very special characters in that movie. One of the reasons why I think the new movie won't be that good...because of the realism.
I can't make it!

Yeah, I'm sure.

Well, here's my gang movie list. Most of these I own, but some of them I have just seen. Also, welcome Paulie :D!

1. The Warriors (duh!)
2. The Wanderers- cool gang movie, more drama than action
3. The Outsiders- same as the Wanderers, but with more realistic gangs
4. Deuces Wild- one again, a 50s gang drama, but this one has brutal fights
5. Class of 1984- has a small gang as the main enemies, and a gang fight
6. A Clockwork Orange- there's a gang in it, and one hell of a gang fight
7. West Side Story- does it need to be explained?
8. Deadbeat At Dawn- most obscure movie EVER!!! awesome gang/kung fu/revenge/drama movie
9. Streets of Fire- biker gang is in it as main enemies
10. The Purifiers- sucks big floppy donkey dick, but it still counts as a gang movie
11. Aussie Park Boyz- same as the Purifiers
12. Romper Stomper- haven't seen it, heard it was cool
13. Alvin Ecarma's Lethal Force- a gang of masked henchmen work for the villain
14. Surf Nazis Must Die!- a crapload of brutal surfer gangs are in it. They are small, but they are violent and always fight to the death.
