It's true. Everyone's favourite Iraqi dictator is dead. Hanged shortly after 10 PM EST tonight. I'm not entirely sure if I agree with it. I am against capital punishment, so that's one thing. Also, now the insurgency is going to turn him into a martyr. If anything, I'd sure hate to be in Iraq in the coming weeks. That place is probably going to explode... literally in some cases.

My friends kept talkin about it for 45 minutes on the phone.  I was hoping to see the hanging, damn fcc and censoring.  If this were the 80s...they showed a public suicide back then, that Budd Dwyer guy shot himself on TV. That video was on myspace and youtube.  Anyway, I'm for capital punishment in most cases, but they shouldn't kill falsely accused people it's hard to tell i know, or certain people.  Like Charles Manson I like him (im from New Jersey mind you, here we all have our favorite serial killers).  Certain people just need to be killed, {like Jack Thompson, Hitler, and Saddam}.

i support capital punishment if its used correctly, and this time i think mit was used correctly. Saddam deserved to die. he killed thousands of his own people.
I also hope that they withdraw troops from iraq soon because there are gonna be a lot of happy shiites and unhappy sunni's fighting on the streets, its gonna be crazy out there!

I was wondering how long it was gonna be till this topic showed up...
I've heard that they are showing pictures from his death on the tv in iraq. Personally i dont want to see it, not because i think its wrong , yeah he got what was coming to him but its still not nice to see that sorta thing.

I think they shoulda just let him rot in jail for the rest of his life instead of turning him into a martyr , but oh well , he got what was coming to him. Iraq's gonna be hell (more hellish than usual) in the next few weeks!

No.1 Because they aren't as strick with their TV and

No.2 I think the Iraqys wanted to see it. I think maybe they wanted to be sure he was dead, because of what he did to their people. They wanted to mentaly see the pictures and to KNOW he was dead. If it would have been up to our government then he would have never died because some political correct person would have hollered about the U.S. being racist, and he would have sat on death row for 300 years.

I want everyone out of there as much as most people do. However, if the United States were to leave, that place would collapse. Civil war, anarchy. It would be hell. Of course, if Bush had just stayed out of there in the first place, none of this would have happened.

It is good that he is finally dead, now we need to do the same to Castro.  :badgrin: But I'm not sure what will happen this year. You know, if they keep doing car bombs and bombs in general everyday, there isn't going to be anyone left to do them!

He had it coming, an eye for an eye a tooth for a tooth. He killed people he deserves to get killed.

I am all for excecuting people who commit crimes, murderers should get killed. Thieves their hands chopped off. And rapists should get their todgers torn off and fed to a Tiger. Sick i know but it should happen.
