DOES ANYONE KNOW IF ANY ORIGINAL "THE WARRIORS" FANS ARE HAVING ANY INPUT INTO THE REMAKE.
IF NONE OF US HAVE BEEN ASKED THEN WE SHOULD START LOBBYING THE PRODUCERS,DIRECTOR,FILM CO.ETC.ETC.WITH A CONSTANT STREAM OF E-MAILS,PHONE CALLS ETC.ETC.TILL SOME OF US ARE ALLOWED AN INPUT.AFTER ALL THIS IS OUR FILM NOT THEIRS.
ALSO TRY AND GET AN ADVANCED SCREENING TOO ALTHOUGH I DOUBT WE'D EVER MANAGE THAT COS ONE WORD FROM US COULD MAKE OR BREAK THE FILM
THE ORIGINAL AJAX (AND STILL THE BEST)

The Change So Much In Remakes Nowadays, I Wouldnt Be Suprised If The Remake Wasnt Even Made In New York.

Still Would Like To See A Tribute To The Greatest Film In The World.

I am waayyy against a remake too. There would probably be way too much explosions, car chases, and special effects and no gritty story like the original. The original is a classic, and should never ever be touched!

I totally agree. I'm sure it'll be littered with (c)rap music, and be all "gangsta," and whatnot. It's pretty pathetic that these movie companies have to remake all the old movies because they run out of ideas. Look at movies like "The Italian Job," or "Gone In 60 Seconds." Those movies are NOTHING like the classics. And now "The Longest Yard" has been remade.

One way or another, the producers will find a way to totally bastardize The Warriors. I'm sure there will be cameo appearances by boneheads like Ja Rule, or DMX, Eminem, Busta Rhymes, or a few of those other idiots. The soundtrack will probably be all (c)rap music.

A remake will never touch the original. Ever.

I really do not want to see a remake, it would be impossible to do a modern day version without guns, explosions and all that "gangsta" type crap that todays films always have

It'll probably end up being a total bastardization like the "new" Battlestar Galactica on the Sci-Fi channel. I cant even watch that show without getting pissed off.

I'm sure the remake of The Warriors will be horrible, as you said.

I think if they made it a sequel then it would be good. i mean if it began with ajax being let out of prison and coming to coney just in time to see the rogues coming for revenge on the warriors, their know sworn enemy gang. i think if they set that in the present day and have the old actors as appearamces as swan and ajax like with swan as warchief it would kick so much more ass. like if swan got killed in the beginning by luthers son or brother or something and then ajax or somebody leads a new group of the warriors to the rogues territory to kill them. i think if they had some of the original warriors in it and showed them making the save of their old friends or something it would make a huge pop from the crowd in the audience. those would be great feel-good moments.

anyone agree with me?

i think the original actors are way too old to play those parts. remember the original warrior movie was made 25 years ago and the actors were then in their late 20's and 30's. if anything i'd like to see them do cameos. besides, ajax would have done a lot of time for just trying to make out with a chick in the park.
