furies figures & comments

Post by Kartoon »

well

i always looked at the pictures and never really cared for any of the figures

but i did as of late get the yellow face and the orange face furies///and they are gret to really see....no picture any where does it justice

Image

i dont care about havin luther or any warriors...but i will say this about the furies

A.my biggest hate about it is the face they have on them...i wish they would have kept the creepy emotion less faces of when you first see the furies..really this would have been a great thing. this faces look like they are mid fight(well on the orange and yellow) and that i just dont like...more work on the faces...and these would be the top dog figures

B. it was dumb to do the orange face and a red face....i would have done the yellow face(or green as people call him). the blue face (and made him more like the one from the movie) the red face is nice. and then i would have down the big sad clown furie, the mint green and white face.

C. the orange face furie is just a yellow face with diffrent color and the black eye on his right instead of left...should have just done sumthin new...there was enough diffrent face patterns they could have

D. no matter what anyone says, limited blue furie sucks...i dont want one beacuse hes limited i just want one to have it...so it sucks that i doubt i will get one...beacuse i wont pay $200 or whatever they go for...i almost ddnt even get these and they were $20 a figure.

all and all i will say that if you can get these figures cheap(and from thee quality ill say any figure for that matter) they are indeed worth it. they look very nice...people didnt like the size of them...i love the fact they are huge.

oh and by the way...if you have a red furie....and need a website and some art work done, wanna learn photoshop. or any other skill i have, and your willing to trade. so am i ;) ;)

i order 2 hoping i would get 2 different ones and i ended up with 2 yellow faces!go figure!
my buddy at work ordered 3 and got yellow, red and the dude with half blue half red!
i was jelous as hell!i ended up giving one of mine to my older brother for his birthday, luckily he's also a warriors fanatic!!p.s i've been checkin out your artwork buddy and as a warriors fanatic it totally blew me away keep up the good work!i have adobe photo shop but totally unsure how to use the thing?

Glad to see you picked these up and I agree they look even better in person (and out of the pack even more so).

Yes they could have done a little better on the faces, diff expression for each at least but I'm sure profit got in the way for that.

The blue is and was a killer at 200 plus, defently should have picked it up for 80 at the start but hey I quess you snoose you lose. Have a lot of stuff pertaining to the Warriors and I think these figures are my fav out of all of it so I just had to have em all.

Have seen the red faced go for a pretty fair price on ebay a few times (25 shipped). Hope you get lucky on it.

I think they look fine, though id say ones which aren't showing off there nice clean teeth do look better
but whats really annoyed me about my yellow furie is that his bloody right arm fell off  which i've had to bluetack back on until i can find the time to glue it back on

I just got done watching the movie this morning and noticed that in the movie, the orange Furies member has the black eye on the same side as the yellow, yet the figure has it on the right (or opposite) eye.

my biggest gripe about the furies figures.....they're all the frickin same!
if you look at all the other warriors figures, each of them are totally different.  the sculpts for the muscles are different, the way the designed the joints is different, the accessories are different, facial features are all different, they're all unique from one another.

now as far as the other "limited" furies, i hope everyone realizes, the only thing you're really paying for is the packaging.  basically its a figure anyone with half a brain can repaint themselves.
the blue face figure costs $15-$20, that means you're paying $200 for the packaging and it being sealed.
the mint green one cost $15-$20, that means you're paying $400 for the packaging and it being sealed.
you gotta be a totally idiot to pay $200-$400 to just have a figure packaged and sealed.

even if i sent it to a professional grading company it wouldn't cost that much.  they'd put it in a solid plastic container, UV coated it and give it all the bells and whistles and its still wouldn't be anywhere near $200.  so think about that before giving up your paycheck(or your parents paycheck) to get one of these figures.

Exactly! it would cost about 3 or 4 quid to get paint and do it yourself. whoever buys the "limited edition" furies is gettin screwed over, BIG TIME!
