Song: Beat Junkies
Artist: Dilated Peoples
Genre: Hip-Hop
Released: ?
Song Length: 4:28
Why I like it: This is sick turntabilism, the most underrated aspect of hiphop, when i screw around with turntables and mixers i always think back to this song.
Favorite Lines(s): there is lines, but i prefer the scratching aspect.

Song:For the Greater Good of God
Artist:Iron Maiden
Albulm:A Matter of Life and Death
Genre:True metal
Release Date:2006
Song Length:9:24
Favorite Line: He gave his life for us, he fell upon the cross, to die for all of those, who'll never mourn his loss. It wasn't meant for us, to feel the pain again. Tell me why... Tell me why...

I'm listening to Maiden. but my dad, and my sister are jamming, playing Moterhead in the background.

Song : Natural Disaster
Artist : Tomahawk
Album : Mit Gas
Genre : Alternative Rock
Released : 200?
Song Length : 2:58
Why You Like It : Not only are the vocals ebautiful (and also show how talanted Mike Patton is) but the song as a whole is very relaxing and wonderful.
Best Bit : 1:29 - 2:58 After a brief silence the melody returns along with a newly found ebautiful synth orchestral sound, finishing the song with the final verse.
Favourite Line(s) :
Hoy es un dia cuando un simple beso
resolveria todo, hacernos olvidar

Trabslation: (If my spanish serves me right) "Today is a day when a simple kiss can solve everything, make you forget"

Song: Thanks For All The AIDS
Artist: Akira The Don
Album: When We Were Young
Genre: UK Hip-Hop / Other
Released: 2006
Song Length: 3 minutes something
Why I Like It: The whole album's amazing. Akira is a genius, breaking down a lot of world issues in his songs, (tells it like it is, be it in a sarcastic, matter-of-fact or bias way) which are all really well produced. It was hard to pick just one track out of any of them, but 'Thanks For All The AIDS, was just playing, so...

Favourite Lines:

Thanks for all the AIDS! (And the guns and the nuns and the bums and the bombs on the trains)
Thanks for all the AIDS! (And the lies and the wives of the guys who've been dying in spades)
Thanks for all the AIDS! (And the crap TV, and for me, and for bringing on the plague)
Thanks for all the AIDS!
Hold your tongue...

Song : B-Boys Alpha
Artist : Cannibal Ox
Album : The Cold Vein
Genre : Independent Hip Hop
Released : May 15 2001
Song Length : 4:27
Why You Like It : The whole album is cool. The beats are dark and the lyrics are cryptic. They are from New York and are heavy into the graffiti scene. A lot of people believe that this is the gratest alternative hip hop album of all time.
Best Bit : 0:46 when the creepy piano kicks in
Favourite Line(s) : Flows be bangin in the paint, throwin elbows
My first fight was me against five boroughs
                          I lost my first wish
But remembered every detail of my first kiss
                          That's the Bronx Tale bliss

Song : Kurt Kobain
Artist : Proof
Album : Searching For Jerry Garcia
Genre : Hip-Hop (emotional)
Released : 2005
Song Length : 4:50
Why You Like It : It pulls at all the right emotional heart-strings and is an unusually open and candid letter of love and apologies.  It pulls you in totally and really makes you listen to whats being said; not many songs do that.
