Interesting things one might have missed.
This is a topic meant to point out things that players may have missed during game play. These can be ether tips, hidden things, or interesting observations.
1. During the Boppers level, if you're wearing a Boppers' hat you can get into the second club without paying the fee. This only works the first time you talk to him.
2. A very useful tip for the game is that if you handcuff cops that are patrolling the area, they won't regenerate as they would if you had knocked them out. This also applies to citizens who try to call the cops, although every once in awhile it won't work for some reason. However, don't try this on the All-City level, because it won't apply to the gang members. You won't get anything done then, trust me.
3. During the Burner Battle of Rumble Mode, some gangs will spray different logos than the ones seen during the game or instruction manual. If you're so inclined, you can also beat the hell out of your oppponent with no fear of retribution, although they will stuggle if you grab them.
4. During the chase of the Hurricanes' level, whenever Sanchez stops, you can order Cochise to hold his ground, then go back and trash any breakable objects you ran saw along the way. There are one or two areas that you aren't given an oppurtunity to backtrack too, though.
5. Also during the chase, when you first go up the stairs, you can veer to the right and go onto the edge of the structure. You'll find a Flash bottle, and you can drop down off the ledge and back onto the chase. Also, when you get to the street that has the car in it, instead of going into the building, head into the alleyway. You'll find another flash bottle and a breakable fence that'll allow you to get back to chasing Sanchez.
6. Oddly, unlike the Hurricanes' chase level, you don't have to keep up with the marker bag kid on the Savage Huns level. You can take your sweet time getting there.
7. In the last area of the Savage Huns level, if you look around you'll find two spray paint cans. These are of no use to you now, so I don't know why they put them there.
8. For some reason, in the first flashback level you can mug Vermin for five dollars.
9. You cannot recruit the bum in the JSB level.
10. There is a flash dealer in the JSB level. He's behind a door in the hotel, which you open by hitting triangle.
11. The second level is the only fight in the game where all 9 of The Warriors are together. During the Hi-Hats rumble, Cochise is absent, and during the assault on the Destroyers' hangout, Rembrandt is absent despite being seen at the start of the level.
12. Big Moe, Tiny and Starr can all be seen at the meeting. See if you can spot them.
13. Diego/Vargas, Cobb and Big Moe are never stated to be the Warlords of their individual gangs, though that's likely what they were meant to be.
14. Diego and Birdie are the only people (At least gang related people) that you can't play as in any rumble mode fight. Emphasis on fight, since you play Birdie in the wheelchair race.
15. The Turnbull ACs are virtually the only gang in the game where we are given no clue as to who their leader is or what's he like.
16. This is pretty easy to spot, but Cochise can be seen at the end of the third flashback level, even though he hadn't joined The Warriors yet.
17. You may notice that in the Hurricane level of Armies of the Night, Diego is tending bar inside the Strips and Solids. There are beer bottles on the counter which you can use to take him out.
18. Whether you fight them prematurely, or wait around after you plant the loot, Knox is not among the JSBs that you can fight in their hangout.
19. Another one that's easy to spot, but I feel like I should point it out anyway. The Saracens are seen during the cutscene at the beginning and end of the first part of the King of the Hill contest. However, you do not see them during the actual challenge.
20. The Savage Huns can be seen very briefly in the Blackout level. When you enter the second area of stores, go on ahead and you'll see them run out of the ruined hardware store. They disappear once out of view, and you have to hit all of them if you want to fight all of them.
21. In the alley way in the front of the JSB level, where you swipe a car radio causing its' machete-wielding owner to attack you, there is another yard that you can enter. Head to the other end of the area, get onto the roof and get onto the overhead platform where one of the tags is in. If you successfully try to jump into the yard straight ahead, you'll find another flash bottle, and can get out by climbing onto the stacked squares, and getting over the part of the fence that doesn't have barbed wire.
22. Any time you want to heal your Warriors before they get knocked out, here's how to do. Take them into a shadowed area, target them, and do a stealth attack. Administer the flash to them, and they'll be as good as new.
23. You can break the windows of the resteraunt sign in the Orphans level, near the Flash dealer. Other windows you can break that may not be too obvious are several windows on the right side of the strip, and the windows of the trailer in the Voodoo Motors lot.
24. If you're so inclined, you can take down the two Hurricane soldiers that Vargas calls during the boss fight. Just throw things at them, and make sure Diego and Vargas aren't in your way. It's probably best to focus on them though.
25. In the first Flashback mission, you can get to some overhead platforms on the factory building. There's a shack near LC's place that allows you to do this. You can follow the platform until you get to the parking that's near the donut shop. On top of one of the trucks are some keys.
26. Near the end of the third flashback level, the bat that the storeowner tries to attack you with is unbreakable.
27. A fun thing to do on the third flashback is cuff LC, and then throw the objects in the room at at him.
28. Rumble Mode has at least four weapons that aren't anywhere in the game. The Shaolin Temple has three martial arts weapons, and the ballpark has a baseball bat with spikes in it.
29. A gang mentioned at various times, but never seen is the Judas Bunch. The DJ says that the Boppers took back Harlem from them, Swan says the Riffs came down hard on them, Ajax implies that they got their butts kicked by the Lizzies, and one of the Warriors (Ether Cowboy or Snow, I believe) said they they were skimming from the ACs, which led to their leader getting wrecked.
30. From the first flashback mission to the last level, these are the places where you can listen to gang conversations. These provide insight into the other gangs, and how they think. Roots: There's a trio of Destroyers right outside the hangout that are talking to each other. Heavy Muscle: Anytime there's a group of Destroyers standing around. The best place to listen to them is probably the group that Lemmy's with. Sharp Dressed Man: Anytime there's a group of Boppers hanging around in a group. The best places to listen to them is the group with the radio next to the third tag, the group behind the poolhall, and the group standing next to the second to last tag. Real Heavy Rep: The first two groups of Orphans have conversations seperate to the rest of the level, and the most of the other groups you see after the fight at the clinic are talking too. The best place to listen is right at the hangout, since you'll always be out of sight. Adios Amigo: The second bunch of Hurricanes, standing next to the large trailer. Destroyed: The group of Destroyers standing next to the first store you raid. Boys in Blue: Ether the three Turnbulls at the beginning, or the group of Turnbulls you fight after recruiting the bums. Set Up: Beat down the sleeping scout in the hangout, and you can listen to the JSBs after you plant the loot. All-city: You can listen to the Moonrunners by going up to the gate before bombing the first train. Desperate Dudes: Any time the Turnbulls are together in groups of three.
31. Snow is likely the new warchief. You'll notice that he's always paired up with Swan. He starts out with him on the Desperate Dudes level, and on the second part of the No Permits, No Parlay level, as well as his movie adapted team-up with him in the Furies level. He's also Swan's backup on the last level, and the Warrior you team up with if you roam around Coney after completing the game.
32. If you let the Turnbull ACs waste Vermin, you can drop down into the area below, and they won't notice you until you attack them. This is probably a glitch, so I'm guessing that it may not work all the time.
33. When you're in a shadowed area, and you've lured a scout to you, it's easier to take them out than one might think. In most cases, you can sneak up to the side of them, and they won't notice you even if they turn their head in your direction.
34. In the "Come out to Play" level, if you look to the right side of Swan, you'll see that the other four Warriors are fighting with the Rogue's on the beach.
35. With some characters in Rumble Mode, the strong grapple will be replaced by a second strong attack. So if you see any enemies in the game that seem to have two strong attacks, that's how they're used in Rumble Mode.

Re: Interesting things one might have missed.
Very interesting. Some of this I've spotted before, but other parts are new to me. In response to a couple of points.
It's not stated, but the Turnbull AC leader is most likely Sid, the tattooed face guy. You briefly see him in the "Nowhere to Run" montage by the bus, and he's the only one besides Birdie (who we know is an LT) that we only see one of. You unlock this guy at the end of Desperate Dudes along with the fat LT.
The Judas Bunch are also mentioned as being rivals to the Satans Mothers. There's a DJ report that says the Mothers are calling them out, then she says the Judas Bunch had previously cheated them during a contest. Also in the hangout after you finish the game, one of the Warriors says that this gang are pretty much finished.
Some of the gang conversations are pretty funny. In Heavy Muscle, you can hear a Destroyer trying to convince his buddies that they should go to Virgil, and say they want the gang colours changed to pink and gold, and that he'd have to do it if enough Destroyers said so. You can also hear the Lizzies conversations in the first part of Friendly Faces.

Wow. I knew some of this stuff before, but a lot of this is all new to me. I'm especially interested in that stuff about the Judas Bunch (I may add them to my fanfic). Thanks a lot for this stuff man.

Not to be rude, but why oh why did you quote the entire, very large first post for less than half a line of text?Vermin/Cowboy wrote:Good eye manCowboy Is Cool wrote: The Entire Damn First Post![]()

36. On the flashback level with Ajax and snow you can buy ice-cream off the girl you meet right at the start of the level.
37. You can throw bottles at people in windows in the mission "set up"
Just trying to help.

36. In the first flashback mission, where the factory workers are hanging out, get on top of the large stack of crates and jump onto the overhead near them. You'll find a flash bottle at the end of it.
37. There's a flash dealer in the back room of the Black Cat.
38. There are a couple of parts in the game where a civilian is looking out their window and you can nail them with a projectile. The first is at the clinic in Tremont, next to the gate that Jesse runs through. There are two people there that you can reach. The second is on the first street of Bensonhurst, there's a lady overlooking the street in one of the buildings. It's kinda funny. There they are, just minding their own business, and out of nowhere some jackass hurls a brick or a bottle at them.
39. Spider and Jesse are also in the crowd at the meeting.
40. For grins, cross body dive off of a high place.
Sorry, Pillow, I decided to put one of yours in the list. I'll put the other one soon.
