I tried to search but at least I could?tfida tread aboutthis oe...if it already exsist my mistake.
What about the scee whe The Warriors are chased by the Baseball Furies ito the Riversidepark. We ca see that Swan and Snowball take off into the woods. But later on when they?re chasing the Furie that "been left behind" we can see them stop for a second and then continue the chase. WHY do they stop? It?s not like they?re resting or have to locate the rest of the group. Is that stop for the "dumb" part of the audience that don?t get whats happening in the movie? Comments please

Re: Durig the Furies chase
Honestly, I was kinda waiting for this topic to come up. I really thought I was the only one who thought that it made no sense whatsoever for Swan and Snow to just stop in their tracks. I really think Walter Hill used it as an excuse to show the Warriors logos again.
I suppose you could say Swan stopped because he wanted the gap to increase between the trailing Fury and the rest of his gang, so there would be no chance that the other Furies would hear Swan pummel their friend.
But, that's reaching a bit. I think it was a mistake. In that great scene, it just seemed weird and out of place for Snow and Swan to stop right on that mark, hold for logo, then take off again.

they stop because they see that nobody is following them and they pause as if they're thinking "wtf" and then they follow

Yeah like Turnbull Badger said, they probalby saw the slow Fury and might have thought there could be another slow one. perhaps they were just checking

But if that were the case wouldn't they have looked behind them instead of just staring ahead at the lagging Fury before they ran on?andy_man wrote: Yeah like Turnbull Badger said, they probalby saw the slow Fury and might have thought there could be another slow one. perhaps they were just checking
I think KillerMime has a point, though, about it being an excuse to get the logos on screen, which doesn't bother me in the slightest since it's probably the coolest logo in the history of cinema 8), but I always thought that it could be one of those "WOW" moments to get the crowd going. Like Snow and Swan break off, and then you think "holy-crap
But if things hadn't gone so wrong with the violence and all that was blamed on the movie when it first came out, maybe Paramount could've been planning on a merchandising capmaign or something, so it could've just been shameless advertising after all

I have no answer for this....Like KilleMime I decided to wait for this topic to come up because it really does need some decent explaining in order to produce the post, but I know what you mean. It's the actual position of the two Warriors that gets me not the 'stop' as I recall it's very strange how the end up at the back in the first place!
But bugger me I can't check this cause my lady is borrowing the DVD, well at least show likes the movie 8)

Re: Durig the Furies chase
taking a closer look at this scene when you see the trailing fury you will also see that swan is slowly jogging and not sprinting and snow is nowhere to be seen.yet when we see the scene from behind swan chasing the furie snow reappears from nowhere then they start their sprint yet again.
