Re: did you see the movie or play the game first
It was always one of those movies that 1 or 2 guys hyped to me...but once I started working at the Alamo Drafthouse, it pretty much became required viewing...I've been a lover of all or Rockstar's game releases, and wanted to get the game, but I knew I couldn't buy the game in good conscience w/out seeing the movie first. I got the Ult. Director's cut from Netflix...and could tell that at one point there was an amazing movie in here somewhere...I bought the original version off of eBay, and then BLAMMO, I'm sold. Warrior for life. Then I bought the game.
Movie's much better, btw.

Saw the movie first. Then I went and picked up the game (despite a lot of people telling me it sucked). I think you really have to be a big fan of the movie to appreciate the game. I mean I thought that the game was really cool.

I was 9 years old and my brother who is much older saw them filming the car bombing scene with the orphans. In fact that scene was filmed eight blocks from where i live. So when the movie came out i went with my brother because he was older and they would not let under age kids in. But also i have not played the game yet.

Game first, movie second. But the movie is a helluva lot better than the game.

We got our first video recorder (Sony betamax) back in 81. Along with halloween and the longest yard (burt reynolds ruled back then) the warriors was among the first films we rented. I watched it 3 times before it got took back the next night.
As an eight year old kid, i was well impressed. I even went as far as trying to make my own warriors figures using han solo. It looked pretty lame as i recall. Dont worry lions, you aint got no competition
Didnt get to see the film on the big screen untill 1990. The broadway cinema in Nottingham had a triple bill showing it along with the driver and john woos the killer. They included the killer because walter hill was at the time rumoured to be doing a remake.
Im trying to find the cinema program. When i do i'll get it posted.
Loved the game but i find myself playing more on the armies of the night bonus section. I dig that retro feel. A cross between double dragon and final fight.
