It's pride...!!! I wouldn't take MY colors off...!!!(if i even HAD a color) Cleon and Ajax wouldn't have made it, Ajax would have tryed to rape the cop anyway, cause he's Ajax. And with Fox... you run from a cop, it doesn't matter if you're in a gang or not, they'll get ya...

Re: Why didnt they take their colours off??
Street gangs back then didnt wear bandanas or certain colors of clothing. They wore vests just like The Warriors wich They would literally die for. Taking off your colors to another gang meant you were weak and were submiting to them. That would be shameful since it was The Orphans. In the world of gangs Rep is everything and when you do something like that your givin up rep. Thats how it is.

now it's pretty obvious the warriors weren't gonna take of their color's. Not for the orphans anyway. The Warriors are a deadly set. I mean, do u really think ajax was gonna get scared, take of his vest and then run...NO!!!Mercy08 wrote: I was wondering why they wouldnt just take their colours off?? I know that when they were going thru the Orphans territory they said that its not who they are ect. but they? probably would of all made it (except for cleon) so why not. Would you rather die than take your colours off?

Re: Why didnt they take their colours off??
Just like a true samurai warrior, in this life it is better to die with pride than to live in embarrassment. For some, that more important than others. We live in a world were sometimes we feel all we have is our pride. We try and try, but it is like the whole world brings us down. Some feel that their life is miserable and they have nothing left, but they stand up and say at least I have my pride. In a cold miserable world, some feel if I am gonna die, let me going out saying "at least I stood up to you". Some people could actually have a very satisfied, rewarding life, and choose to avoid death, but they can not live without our dignity. Its just a simple human emotion that makes us stand out in life. Its hard to elaborate on it, but theres something about pride that keeps us going, it makes us who we are, and giving up is not an option. Pride is the one thing we need that pushes us to go forward in our entire human existence. It inevitable.

I suppose its the same as the tough cowboy culture. You never touch or remove a cowboys hat. Its a sure fire way to lose your teeth.
