SHM-  to think I though you were crazy...now I KNOW you're crazy!

Seriously, I'll take you up on that patch set...I'll comp you some shirts if you send it on to me.  PM when you get it, and I'll send you my mailing address.  I'd love to see you come out to coney for the Aug 2nd screening.  This site is WAY too fun.

If these vests sell well enough, we'll definatily be making some more, and I'm sure there'll be some design changes.

The guy might talk shit and maybe needs an etiquette lesson but he does make a pretty damn sweet vest IMHO...

It still bugs me how the leather pattern on the back is like a normal vest, not stragiht down the middle, Nice patches though

SHM to the rescue!

Seriously though, I don't mind criticism, but bashing...not so much.

If I had all the time in the world, I probably would have monkey'd around with the patches a bit more.? But I have a deadline- August 2nd.? On that day, I will be standing on Coney Island, selling to the 3000+ crowd that we're expecting.? And I needed to have vests on hand.

And, to make matters worse, I wasted MONTHS with another manufacturer who finally got the design where I wanted it after 3 attempts, and then upped the cost by almost half.? So, I had to start all over again.
Ive a couple of questions for Alexfugazi.

If you HAD stuck with the original manufacturer, what would have been the lowest dollar price you could have sold them to the public for?

Secondly, I suppose this depends on how well your current vests sell, would you consider offering an alternative choice of a vest made of thicker leather? (im prepared to pay more for a higher quality vest).

Whats the minimum amount of vests that you can place with your manufacturer, to be able to sell on at an accessable price?

While your current vest is ok and i cant knock the price your selling them for, it doesnt meet my requirements.

Im not one of these fans thats just gonna wear it for the odd occassion. I want a vest thats gonna survive daily wear and tear, a vest that can survive beer spillage and cigarette butts thrown at at. (I drink in some rough pubs but thats were the cheapest booze is at). And if i decide to get myself another bike, a vest thats gonna offer at least some protection if im unfortunate to take a spill.

If your thinking of altering your current design, can i suggest you make the arm holes smaller. No one seems to have got that right yet.

The problem with the armholes on many of these vests is they are designed to fit over a denim jacket. Looks odd just plain.  And on the average, people were skinnier back in the 70's...

:)

My reccomendations for the Mondo vest are, get a better "Warriors" patch, the lettering is off, smaller armholes and the diamond trim triangles should be the same color, not whitish.
