at the end of the day it`s down to which vest you like best would never put someone`s hard work down`i could never make one myself am sure a lot of hard work an effort has been put into all vests.
the only reason i started this was cause we were all getting a really good deal `which he didn`t have to do` he`s doing us the favour.
i think there are some people who don`t like the coney vest for one reason or another kinda evens things out`nothin personal in it.

No disrespect to anyone, but I think youre all being a little harsh on alexfugazi. I mean its ok if you think his vests arent very good, but you really dont have to rub it in his face.

1.? if you got nothing nice to say, don't say it at all.? opinions are always welcome but not to the point where you're constantly bashing someone....meaning you post your opinion of HATE in every thread regarding a topic.? no reason to get revenge, no reason to have a vendetta, its not like he slept with your sister, he just selling a vest.? ?

2.? do unto others as you wish others to do unto you.? though i'm not a religious person, i firmly believe in this.? alexfugazi/mondotees does this for a living.? meaning he does this to pay his bills and feed his family.? would you like it if someone showed up at your place of work and did it to you?? you know, grill you about how much your product sucks and detract from your business?? not cool at all.

3.? no one is forcing you to buy it.? i mean who's holding a gun to your head??? if and when someone can "virtually" point a gun to your head and FORCE you to buy something, then you can complain all you want, but like everything else for sale in life....no like, no buy.

4.? theres no such thing as perfection when fans come into play.? even if we got the original people who made the vests for the movie to make them, they still wouldn't get it right.? theres no pleasing the diehards, if it ain't one thing, its always another, its a never ending vicious cycle of dissatisfaction.

5.? wheres YOUR custom vest?? and when are YOU going to make enough to sell to everyone?? if YOU don't have the time/resources/money/skills to make it, then YOU should have a nice cold glass of STFU.? theres nothing worse than a guy who does nothing, yet complains about everything.


these are not words of anger or hate, but when you conduct yourselves in this manner for the sake of 'keepin it real" or "telling it like it is", you send a message to the other members that its okay to be a complete jerk towards someone who's only crime is trying.? basically you're saying its okay to be a jerk to someone who never did anything wrong to you...which isn't really a positive message to send to anyone.? ? ?? ?

both posts convey the same message but ones nicer than the other.

Could not have said it better myself `if you don`t like a vest there is no need to trash the vest as they have put a lot of time and effort into it.
Another good point made was you will never get a vest as good as the one`s used in the film unless you own one of them.
A lot of people want the vest 100% screen acurate and some don`t mind close to screen acurate i personally think the coney vest is the nearest to screen acurate you will get`not to say it is 100% dead on and not to take anything away from the other vests out there.

Ok, here's my analogy. I play guitar. Pretty well too I think and I have mp3's to back it up. I have a Stevie Ray strat and can at times do a good emulation of some of his licks. Now to be honest I cannot play like Stevie Ray, I have moments. Now if I went out and sold a CD of me playing Stevie Ray licks stating that it was "The best Stevie Ray simulation available!!!!" and others clearly played his stuff better than me I would expect some [bad word deleted].
I agree with SHM. Perhaps I would be more diplomatic but let's all be honest. It's VERY cool that people are making vests. It's cool that we have choices. But these are not free. They are a PRODUCT. They are doing this to make $$$, be they fans or not and therefore like any other product for sale, they should be allowed to be honestly critiqued. And to expect us to lie about our opinion because someone, 
1) made an effort
2) is donating $ here
is very unethical. The vests are decent. Do they look like the movie vest? Honestly, no. The logo is completely wrong. Anyone can see that. Just compare pix!



Now, if someone wants to be patted on the back for effort, cool! Nice attempt. But I'm not gonna lie about my feelings when as SHM asked, opinions were asked for.

i know how you feel about the vests, we all know how you feel about the vests since you managed to post your opinion in every thread where the topic of vests come up.  it doesn't even have to be about mondo's vests, even this thread where the topic is about coney island's vest, you somehow manage to put down mondo repeatedly throughout it, then follow it up with "no offense"....go read what you posted then explain to me how it isn't offensive?  how many times can you put something/someone down?  what did he do to you?

With all due respect, YOU"RE Wrong, dude!!!! Another member started this thread about the Coney vests after I saw them on Ebay and contacted the guy. The Mondo guy popped in telling us to buy his vests instead and how they were professionally machined and NOT painted, basically putting down the Coney guy's vest. I had not said ANYTHING about his vest in this thread. HE crashed it, thread farted, hijacked it whatever... Go back and read. Once he chimed in, all bets were off. Sorry, maybe I and SHM were harsh in the other threads, granted, but here in this damn thread that I am kind of responsible for having started, he crashed it uninvited to push his inferior vest saying his vests were all "professionally made" and not hand painted. In this instance, he asked for it.
