yea it was a shock to me when I found out she was a woman. I first read the outsiders when I was in 4th grade

Next time you watch "the Outsiders"  Look for the nurse that hassels Matt Dillon's character when he is in the hospital, that is SEH---when she approved the script/screenplay, they gave her a cameo role in the movie.
I have all of her books, and most of the movies on tape.

I've read Rumble Fish and the Outsiders (how original) for school and I thought they were both really good books. I liked Rumble Fish more than the Outsiders because I thought Rusty James was a good character.

i read Rumble Fish and Outsiders at school and then watched the movies,didnt like Rumble Fish at first because it was in black and white but thought it was really good when i watched it as an adult of course Outsiders was a classic and i recently watched the deleted scenes on youtube.......apologies ive just realised i shouldnt have posted here

picked up one of her recent adult audience books hawkes harbour at the library recently but i wasnt really getting it

My wife is a HUGE fan. Has all her books. It's funny because she is a huge OUTSIDERS movie fan (me being THE WARRIORS, 1 bedroom is OUTSIDERS 1 is WARRIORS and then our room). We have seen it in the theaters a bunch of times, she has posters and merch from the flick.

then That was Then this is Now. Then I saw all the movies! S.E. Hinton is
great.
