New York State of Mind

Post by emissary »

I don't think anybody actually says "New York."  I never thought of that before.  We hear "Bronx" left and right. "Big City" "Borough"  "Coney" but nobody utters the big one.  (I mean New York not Vermin's line)

Normally the term "New York"  is heard from people out of town.  For instance when I went to Egypt, people don't say I am from Brooklyn, they say New York.  Being that their already in New York, there really is no reason to say New York.  So thats why you just hear "bronx" or Coney Island.  So basically you answered your own question, its thought from a New York Mind set.
