Snowball
Snowball
My name is Snowball. Well, I guess so. Its a nickname. My real name, I will not mention. If cops were to read my story I would be traced and arrested. I'm Snowball. I belong to a gang called the Warriors. I recently have been asked to leave to Warriors to join The Jones Street Boyz. I'm not sure if I should go yet. I'm loyal to The Warriors, but The Jones Street Boyz' rep has gotten so big over the years, they are pretty much up there with the Riffs. Anyway, I think I'm going to go. Here is how it happend.
"Snow, we're getting some money from The Jones Street Boyz today." Swan said, walking up next to Snow besides the Wonder Wheel. "They owed it to us, and like you know, were supposed to pay it months ago. I mean, it's not like we help them rumble with gangs for free. Anyway, I'm sending you to collect. It's safe, because lately I've been discussing with their leader Knox and they have agreed on a truce with us. So, I'll see you late tonight, unless you stay there for a certain reason, be it injuries, or 'the' girl." Swan said smiling.
"Yeah Swan," I said. "I got this. Be back tonight unless I'm injured, or I find the 'perfect' girl, heh heh. And yeah, the truce, and money.. umm Swan, how much do they owe?"
"$500 even." Swan said, scratching his head.
"Yeah, ok, $500 even, truce, late tonight or stay the night. Yeah, see you tonight or tomorrow afternoon." I said.
I hopped off a bench and started heading down the boardwalk towards the trainstation. I looked around Coney as I strolled by. I saw a few locals hanging around, sweat beading down their foreheads, thanks to the heat.
I got to the trainstation and set down my token. I shook my head and picked it back up. I stuffed it in my pocket before hopping over the baracades. I walked in the train door and found an empty seat. I looked over at a girl and nodded, as she smiled. I turned my attention to the Jones Street Boyz. I wondered, was I supposed to meet them at a certain spot? Did Swan tell me that? I bet he did. I'm going to screw everything up! I worried as I sat back all the way to Jones Street Boyz turf.
The train screeched to a stop and the doors opened. I sleepily got to my feet and staggared to the door. I stepped out and scratched my head looking around.
"Hey!" .. "Holy crap!" I yelled. A few Jones Street Boyz were right next to me. "Hey. I'm Jonny, and this is Glen. We are the JSB's assigned to pick you up and bring you back to the hangout." "Oh, cool. Yeah well I'm Snowball. Nice to meet you Jonny, Glen."
Jonny and Glen nodded and led me to the car. I got in and looked around. It smelled like fast food. French fries layed out on the seats, and ketchup and mayonaise smeared over the car seats. "Yeah, I know its a mess man. We've got a small fund on the side for me and Glen to buy a new car." "Yeah well you can just get it cleaned for like a fraction of the price man." I said smiling. "Yeah, I guess your right.. YEAH! Thats smart man." Jonny said, shocked. I just shook my head and looked out the window.
We pulled over to the side walk and Jonny and Glen got out of the car. I looked out the window and Jonny opened my door. "You coming man?" He asked me eagerly. "You know, you remind just like a friend of mine Jonny. His name is Vermin. But hey, who cares, lets get to the hangout."
Jonny and Glen led me into a building. "Have a seat man, Knox will be here any minute." Glen said. "Naw, I'll stand." I said. I leaned against a wall, waiting for this guy 'Knox' to show up.

Re: Snowball
I looked around, nervously. My face stayed cool, I decided to act like a tough guy, just chilled out, didn't talk. I hopped into a chair and scratched my head.
"So is this guy gonna show or what?" I asked impatiently, going directly against the image I was trying to set.
"Chill man, he'll show. We know Knox, he's probably just finishing up something. He a busy guy you know." Glen said sipping from his beer.
"Yeah, ok." I said. I looked around the room. I saw a Jones Street Boyz shirt on the wall. It looked nice, good quality shirt, and I thought, they must be raking in a lot of money nowadays. I was just happy it wasn't that night of the meeting, and we didn't happen to pass through here. BAM! My thoughts were broken. The door shot open and Knox fell into the door.
"Saracens.. they're attacking. They got.. they got alot of b-balls attacking us.. we.. we got a way bigger street family, and they know it.. so your t-that Snowballl guy?" Knox rushed out as he struggled to his feet. "Yeah, I'm Snowball. I'm here to collect the money you owe, but it looks like you got your hands full. We'll talk buisness later." I said. Glen and Jonny ran out the door and Knox limped out. They looked around. They didn't see anyone. Quickly three Saracens hopped on top of Knox Glen and Jonny. I looked out the window and I saw them getting beaten badly. I ran to the wall and took the Jones Street Boyz shirt off. I slipped my Warriors vest off and slid the Jones Street Boyz shirt on. I looked in the corner of the room, next to the door. Just my luck: A baseball bat and a crowbar. I ran over a reached out grabbing the crowbar.
I hopped down the stairs turning the Saracens attention to me. I ran over and hit one in the arm. His arm bent backwards, as he screamed in agony. The other two came at me. One guy grabbed the crowbar, then held my arms behind my back. The other guy came up to me and got a shot in my stomach. I yelped, but kept on strong. I got an arm free somehow. I punched the Saracen in front of me and grabbed his arm. I pulled his body foreward. He jolted back and pulled me out of the other guys arms. I pushed him on his butt and turned to the guy that was holding me. He had my crowbar. I made like I was going to reach for it. He pulled it back. Bingo. My turn. I gave him a hard shot in the nose. He fell and passed out. But there was still one guy. But it couldn't have taken him that long to get up. I looked over and he was gone. I sighed in relief and went over to Jonny Knox and Glen. I helped them to their feet and we went back into the building.
"Damn kid, you got some serious moves." Knox said pulling his shirt off and and putting an ice pack on his chest. "You did good out there man, real good."
"No problem man, thats how Warriors roll man. I think I'm going to stay the night with you guys, just incase they attack again. (I lied. I wanted to stay. I loved having a bigger rep than the Warriors, and I was going to be talked about at The Saracens hangout too, seeing as I just kicked three of their asses.) So, tomorrow when we wake up, we'll talk about that money, and I'll be heading back to Coney." I said, exhausted. "Yeah ok man, but what the hell. You can stay for a bit, maybe we can up your payment?" Knox said with a thumbs up. "How much?" I asked, a little concerned. I mean, Swan wanted me back the next day or earlier. "It was $500 right?" Knox said. I nodded. "Okay man, you spend a few more days fighting with the JSB's, and maybe we'll up it to maybe $750?" Knox said. "Holy crap man. I think I'll go for it, but I got to call my Warlord Swan." I said. "Don't worry about it, I got it covered." Knox said smiling. (I also know he lied. I'm telling you the story from the past so I know how it turns out. He said that, but had no intention of calling Swan. He wanted me as a Jones Street Boy. And maybe I am as I tell this story, and maybe not. Up to you to keep reading, and you may find out..)

"Wake up, man!" Johnny said. "What?" I asked in confusion. "Wake up." Johnny said scratching his head. "Why? Whats going on?" I asked, changing positions on the couch. "Knox has an idea, or, offer, rather." Jonny said smiling. "Well, what is it?" I asked anxiously. "He wants to tell you it in person. Get your clothes on. Oh, and he wants you to wear that Jones Street Boyz shirt again." Johnny said pushing his brown hair out of his eyes. "Why? The shirt isn't mine. Besides I gotta represent my brothers from Coney." I said. "Your brothers from Coney aren't here right? Besides, they might not be considered your brothers once you hear this offer." Johnny said with a stern look on his face. "Come on." Johnny said, helping me off the couch. I scratched my head. It felt weird. Wait. Where was my haircut!? I ran to the mirror. All my hair was straight and let down. Kind of shaggy. "What the hell?" I asked, playing with the new looking hairstyle. "Oh yeah, Glen thought you could blend in a bit better with some shaggy hair, instead of your funky Coney Island afro." Johnny said laughing. "Anyway, you should get dressed." I nodded and walked back over to the couch. I sat down and reached for my vest. Without hesitation Johnny threw the Jones Street Boyz shirt in my face. I smiled and dropped the vest on the floor. I pulled the shirt on and looked at him, with a look as if to say, "That good enough for you?". He kind of laughed when I got up. "What?" I asked, feeling a little confused. "Well, if you want to look professional for our gang meeting, you may want to put on your pants. "Oh shit!" I said laughing. I sat down and reached around the floor for my new blue jeans. I found them and slipped them on. I jumped up and flexed. "Thats what I like to see man, confidence!" Johnny said as I followed him across the house. We stepped out the front door where Knox grunted and tossed a smoke from his hand on the ground and stomped it out. "Hey hey, its my buddy Snowball!" Knox said.
"So here we are Snowball." Knox said. We were in front of the Saracens' hangout. "Just pull this off and your a Jones Street Boy. We square it off with your little Warrior pals." "Yeah, but theres one thing. I miss my partner. His names Ajax man. We do everything as a team. I need him here too." I said, straightening out my shirt. "Yeah. Ok. Fine. One more guy. We bring him here, and we're square. You go home, you get your pal, you deliver the money, and you tell this Swan guy this: 'Me and Ajax, we got to go back up to The Jones Street Boyz place. The Saracens have been attacking. They wanted me and a heavy muscle to come back over, help them out for a week, and then come back. The money we get, is one grand.' So, that sound good?" Knox asked patiently. "Yeah, its ok. So can me and Ajax do this together, tomorrow?" I asked. "Hmm.. well, yeah ok. But what you guys have to do is different. You go in there, and you come back with at least one hundred dollars cash, and two different Saracen shirts. One for each of you. Also, you guys can keep your Warriors vests in one of the rooms we have. Its our 'trophey' room. Its where we keep all our gang colors that we've either stolen or had given to us by guys like you and your pal Ajax. For instance, Glen used to be in the Moonrunners. He had to lose his afro too." Knox said laughing. "Anyway, lets get back to the hangout. We'll get some lunch and you can head to the train station, for your train back to C.I." Knox said walking away from the Saracens' hangout.

Re: Snowball
Well I mentioned why he wanted to leave. A bigger rep, his best friend could come to. He got pressured into it. Read it again if your still doubting it.KingOfTheWarlords wrote: Nice storyÂ, though I couldn't picture Snow leaving the Warriors, but it's your fanfic, keep on written.
Also, Baseballfury100, where would you get that kind of idea?? Ajax never dies.
Anyways, I didn't explain and am not going to in the story, I'm just going to mention it now. Ajax got out of jail with a price of $2000. The Warriors were able to raise it by their signature smash and grabs, and mugging. So now, to the story.
I awoke at six o'clock. I was tired, but couldn't sleep. This was the day. I get Ajax, and we get to have the rep we have always deserved. "Hey!" My thoughts were once again, interupted. "Can't sleep? Me either. I'm nervous. For you." Glen said seriously. "I mean, I left my gang about a year ago this month, and I was nervous. You feeling a bit nervous?" Glen asked, feeling concerned. "Not really," I lied. "I'm just trying to get an early start, thats why I'm up so early." "Oh," Glen said. "I thought you would be." Glen said it like he was almost upset. Maybe because I wasn't nervous but he was when he left his gang. I mean, I was nervous but he didn't need to know. "Glen?" "Yeah?" "What was it like with your old gang?" "Well, I got tired of being sent to the trainyard to bop any tresspassers. That was really crappy. I had friends. Example, one of the guys in this gang had come with me. His name is Jeff, I don't know if you met him or not." Glen said. "Nah," I shook my head. "Never heard of him." "No wonder, we got a street family of five hundred seventy five roughly. Plus, affiliates. Jeff is only a soldier in the middle, so he is just one of the five seventy five." Glen said, sounding upset again. "Anyway," I said, looking at the clock, (6:15 am). "maybe we should wake up the other guys and get on the 7:00 am train. What do you think?" I asked. "Are you serious!? You don't listen man. Your going alone so your Warrior buddies don't smell anything. Got it?" Glen said, trying to act tough. Weird, I just met these guys and I could tell if they were acting or not. "Yeah, sorry. But, well. Yeah okay, I'll go now." I said. "Not yet!" A voice yelled. "Huh?" I asked. Knox stepped in the door. Incase of emergency I have some things. Number one: A cell phone. We won't call you, but my number is on the phone incase something goes wrong. Number two: Switchblade. If they hear your plans they will all try to grab the 'traitor' which is you. You pull out the knife, stab the closest guy, throw him into the coming Warriors, and run for the next train station. We clear so far?" Knox asked, handing me the knife and the phone. "Yes." I said confidently, as I stuffed the phone in one pocket and the knife in the other. "Okay good. Next and last. If your friend turns your offer down, you don't want him to run and tell the rest of your gang.." "Wait. No man, Ajax wouldn't go tell, he'd just kick my ass. Most likely wreck me." I said. "Thats what the knifes for. Next.." "WHAT!? You mean knife my bestfriend!?" I screamed. "Either that or get wrecked." Knox said. "Well, whatever man. Okay." I said, even though I knew I couldn't stab Ajax if my life depended on it. "Anyway, you need one more thing. Subway tokens. Just by chance, if you get chased by your Warrior brothers, you don't want to get held back by subway security for not paying your subway token. Then your 'pals' will catch you and wreck your ass." Knox said grinning. "Okay man, I'm off to the subway then." I said. I stood up and picked up my Jones Street Boyz shirt. "Are you retarded!?" Knox screamed, while laughing. "Oh right." I said, not laughing. I dropped the shirt and Glen tossed me my vest. I slipped it on and stepped outside. There was a car and Johnny in the front seat. "Hey man, you don't want to walk there do you?" Johnny said smiling. "Thanks man!" I bellowed and hopped into the passenger side of the car. We drove down the street.
"Anyways, Knox explained it all right?" Johnny said, before letting me out of the car. "Yeah, he did." "Okay, off you go man." Johnny said, and I hopped out of the car. I walked into the train station and up some stairs. I found the 7:00 am train to Coney and got on. I sat down and fell asleep.
"Hey! You look like a wimp when you sleep. Wake up!" I awoke startled. I looked up and there was Ajax. "Swans had me down here for two days straight. I was supposed to come up to The Jones Street Boyz place today and get you. Good thing you showed up. Come on, we can go see Swan." "No. Not yet.." I said thinking of an excuse to get me and Ajax a fair bit away from the other Warriors...

Its a good story, and snow does fit in the gang jone street boys. I dont know, i do imagine him in a jone street boys outfit. But its sad that hell leave the warriors, because he gives the gang warriors a more urban feel to it.
