One other question about the conclave. More than a concern. I'm all about having a reenactment of the night heading back to coney.
But the fact is we'll be going from the Bronx to Coney. That's alot of gang turf that may have problem with an army of people in gang colors. Movie gang colors yes, but it would be disrespectful none the less. One of the big things we would have to do is get permission from the different gangs to do this. Or set something up with NYPD. To me it's a safety issue that crossed my mind. I mean Walter Hill and the cast had the same problem. In our revelry of honoring the greatest movie ever, i wouldn;t want to step on another gangs toes who would look at our march with some pretty angry eyes.
Just a thought needed to be expressed Warchief. Playing devils advocate. Can't wait to see you all in NYC in 2009.

I'd be willing to make a donation to make this happen one.  A modest one, mind you, but a donation nonetheless.  Please make sure to reach out to the list when you reach that point.
Cleon dying was a huge blow.  Swan was able to pick up the slack and lead a very tough gang home through hell.

Beautiful!!! I am so in! As far as other gangs messing with the Warriors I'm sure there are enough Ajaxs around here to handle that. I live in Canada but will have no problem making this if it happens.

I think it would rock to be able to live something like this out especially since everyone here is so passionate about this particular movie. It'll be almost surreal and a once in a lifetime opportunity as it turns thirty only once. Be happy to contribute as much as I can which isn't too much but hey it's the Warriors!

Best idea ever!!!! I will be 19 so its perfect.

Idea: If there is an admission price (which there most certainly be) we should pitch in a little more to get a junker car to torch with the Orphans! :D

So what do we do re: Van Courtlandt? The scenes in the movie were shot in Riverside Park, (right near my NYC apt) The "orphans" turf was shot in Brooklyn along the "J" train line I believe.  The inside of the 96th st. station was actually in Brooklyn. The exterior is actually 72nd street and when they run down "95th" st. and into the Park it is actually 100th st. My block, (they actually stop in front of my apt. window and deliver lines!) The Lizzies hangout was shot up near like 104th st. So what do we do to compensate for this?

ya know this conclave is gonna be a real big item. dare I say it could be bigger than the original conclave. between this forum and undoubtedly the more fans around the world that don't even know about this site yet, by 09 this could be huge if we get the word out. all it takes is one tiny ripple to soon start a tidal wave.

Yeah, would you be able to bring friends who aren't members of the forum, but fans of the movie and game?
I talk to my friends about it and they are really interested, especially with the costumes part.
