how old school are we goin here, do i go early or really early (Megadrive or commodore etc.)
As im still pretty young im gonna go back to my megadrive days and of course it was also the arcade game on which i learnt to play beat em ups properly, Mortal Kombat was the one i remember most i would say and brings back the greatest feelings of joy, working out how to "FINISH HIM", Kano's was the best where he pulled out the heart of the opponent or maybe even scorpion with his spine wrenchingness (its not a word, i know)

Dodgy arcades = cutting class = lots of fun times  :D

The games that i remember playing most from that time period:

Asteroids
Missile Command
Tempest
Robotron
Defender
Pac Man
Ms. Pac Man
Paperboy

As I got older and didn't have to worry about skipping school (just work ) :

Mortal Kombat
Street Fighter 2
House of the Dead
NFL Blitz

And yes, I have all these games for PS2, in all their arcade glory. If perfect copies of arcade games were available when I was a kid, I'd have been in all my glory.
