Yeah that's me lol, every so often I'll write a letter to the Daily News and The Post, only this time they cut half of it out which they very rarely do to me. The second half said in so many words that rappers should stop using assinine names and expressions (like my most hated, "bling bling"), act like adults and grow the heck up lol.

I just read L'il Kim (yep another assinine rap name, are they all 4 years old?) just got convicted, good riddence to another one hopefully.

This is, of course, in all due respect to anyone reading this that may actually like rap and rappers, I only speak for myself of course, I just feel this garbage is way out of control.

Voice of the People is one of the best parts of the News. I do like some rap but I agree that most of today's artists are crap.

Isn't it funny how we get a little older, we realize hey our parents weren't so bad or "wrong" after all!

I used to like some rap that was creative, I think some old school stuff is good, the party-rap that didn't tell everyone to kill people or rape ho's. I even kinda liked NWA's "Straight Outta Compton" because they were the very first "gangstas" and it was groundbreaking, and Eazy-E I always thought was hilarious. (Their video for "100 Miles and Runnin'" to this day is one of the greatest videos I have ever seen.) Eminem actually is kinda creative and funny. But really, all this stuff wit the "feuds" and bragging about jail (you were in jail because you were stupid enough to get caught) and gun wounds and crap, and so many rappers being former drug dealers (the scum of the Earth in my opinion), I can go on. Selling millions and having #1 singles and albums just isn't good enough. It's just so out of hand.

How age changes things - Ice Cube, who rapped "F**k The Police" and promoted killing cops in 1988, couldn't be more mainstream if he tried, even starring in kiddie films now! And when NWA reformed (for two minutes) a few years ago with Snoop Dog in Eazy-E's place, on one TV appearanc I saw, they couldn't get through performing those old nasty songs without smiling and laughing at how ludicrious they were all throughout the songs!

BTW, not many people know that Eazy-E (who died of HIV) had 31 kids! And he was a Republican who even donated 3 grand to George Bush Sr!
