Strategies for Survival in Rumble Mode?

For the first time last night, I tried the "Survival" game in Rumble Mode.  I had played Rumble Mode many times before then, so I was an experienced fighter, but Survival mode is really tough--the longest I could make it in three or so tries was like 1 minute! 

What strategies do you guys use to stay alive?  Is it a combination of running and fighting?  Because one you get surrounded by all those enemies--even if you do have a wall to your back on one side--it's hard to make it for very long with no flash.  What fighting moves do you use, too?  Strong moves?

i like to play survival mode in tremont because it's big and there are a few weapons lying around and there are two molotovs one on each roof,it's fun to throw them in a big crowd

I getcha Ajax_41. That is the best level to outrun gangs as you can get a pattern going. I clocked up 26 minutes and 41 seconds as Fox against the Lizzies.  =D> Just keep on runnin'!

I go with Tremont as well, though my record is 9 minutes 35 seconds with Cobb against Van Courtland Rangers.

if you play as cobb its just too easy i can get like 10 min with him

when im snow i get a record of 6 min 48 sec

when i play as cleon i got 5 min 29 sec

im just really good with cleon so i do good with him

but a good stratagy is to play as snow and get his rage on then use his rage move where he breaks the guys arms it works perfect

I just like being any of the Warriors and just running in Tremoont its like a horror movie when you keep getting chased. Cowboy/Ajax/Swan/Snow and the Furies, that owns!

with cleon i got over 20 minutes but i gave up because i got bored.

That IS the main strategy, as standing in roughly the main place and fighting will get you nowhere. It's the thrill of the chase, man! You got to get a pattern going. Take Tremont...you run past the phonebox, behind the stores, climb the bins up onto the roof, then to the higher ledge that's up here (behind the big sign) and then wait. You'll see the gang that's chasing you start climbing up. When there's a load of 'em on the roof, jump from the higher ledge over them onto the lower roof (still with me?!), drop down to the ground level and run across the street to the metal storage thing that's to the right of the old petrol station, climb up and left until you reach the roof and wait (again! This adds a nice amount of time). When the gang reaches the roof, jump off the opposite end, down to the street. Now you just have to run past the phonebox again and keep looping. Ya get me?!  You'll see what I mean after a little practise.  There will be times when you bump into stragglers, or, be hit by flying bricks/bottles, but you just gotta keep movin'. Oh, and when you see the molotovs, pick 'em up and save 'em for when there's a bunch all huddled together climbing up to get you. Tasty.

one time when i played survival,i got a pair of cuffs!?? :-s it was kinda impossible to use them though.

when you select who to fight in rumble mode, select someone who can hand-cuff you. because when they hit you to the floor and cuff you, they dont bother killing you.... and they just stand above you walking into each other. so this helps when you want a good record time in rumble mode. 8)
