"Southern Comfort" is the best of all "Deliverance" ripoffs.

I've just finished watching Walter Hill's Streets of Fire and it ROCKED. I urge all Warriors fans to see it. Just like the Warriors, it's script is full of cool, quotable one-liners and most of the action takes place at night. It has the same nocturnal fantasy atmosphere as the Warriors AND it has Deborah Van Valkenburgh in it! Michael Pare is cool as the hero Tom Cody, but Rick Moranis and Amy Madigan steal the show, and what a show it is. I'm surprised Streets of Fire doesn't have it's own forum.

It looks like I'm gonna have to check out Southern Comfort. Eight soldiers, whose leader has been killed, fight for survival on foreign terrain. Hmmmmm, the plot sounds very familiar.

I've taken your word for it on this one and just "won" it on Ebay.Coney Island Baby wrote:I've just finished watching Walter Hill's Streets of Fire and it ROCKED. I urge all Warriors fans to see it. Sounds good from the way you've descibed it.
Also Aliens and Souhern comfort are both great movies!

So is 'Last Man Standing', that's a cool film. It's a remake of 'A Fistful of Dollars' and 'Yojimbo'. Also David Patrick Kelly is in it.

I'm glad my recommendation has persuaded you to see Streets of Fire. It's a fun movie, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. 'You know some of you guys have some cute little asses. It'd be a real shame if I had to blow'em off.'
