Well, it may be more of a rant than a review, but here is a link to my myspace blog about it, if you care to read it...

My "review" of the Director's Cut.
Good review, except I disagree with your comment that this is NOT an Ultimate Director's Cut.
Obviously a lot of fans are disappointed with this DVD, but it's not called the "Ultimate Fan Edition" or "Special Collectors' Edition." Going by the strictetest definition of what the term "Director's Cut" would mean, I have to give Walter Hill the benefit of the doubt and allow that this is likely his ultimate vision for the film. That's probably the only saving grace of the project, that they called it an "Ultimate Director's Cut," and not a "Special Edition" or "Collector's Edition" or something along those lines.
Sure, it's just semantics, but looking at it this way is about all I can do to keep my blood from boiling at the absence of all the obvious (to fans) extras.

My "review" of the Director's Cut.
A very well done review. Agree almost word for word. 110% on disliking the fury cartoon. It was the first thing my son and I said at the end of the show. Surprised to see how close I am to you to. Still think its a must have love the 5.1 sound (have a vg home theatre) and the interviews but am disapointed as many on here are about most of the rest.
