I was gonna start a topic similar to this.
I have been listening to Hip Hop since the early 80's, and there is understandably a strong link between Hip Hop and the film, as the Hip Hop culture grew from the 1970's gang culture in NYC.
Over the years many Hip Hop records have sampled or borrowed ideas from the film, to name a few:
Style Warriors Revenge - Hijack (The intro imitates the DJ saying the 'I guess all I can do is play you a song' speech)
Silver Bullet (A UK rapper that sampled the music from the start of the film when the Wonder Wheel is shown as backing to a track)
Killah Instinct - Bambi Murders (Another UK crew that sampled the Luther's dialogue on the beach 'Your crazy, your dead, all of you' for the intro)
Gunshot - Battle Creek Brawl (Yet another UK crew that sampled music from the film as the outro of this track)
100 Miles and Runnin - NWA (The track revolves around them runnin from the police, and the FBI request 'Nowhere to run' for them)
Wu Tang Clan (Cant remember the track but the 'Warriors come out to play' line is quoted in a crazy sounding accent)
Has the film been used as much in any other genre of music?

If you're gonna use that name you need to sort your look out first. They look like a right bunch of squares.

Hey Emvee, thanks for posting this, its a good track.Artist: Class A Felony
Album: Class A Felony
Song: Warriors Come Out To Play
I really like the way they sample the line 'Warriors come out to play' in the chorus, it sounds a bit out there.
He name drops 45 King, I presume he produced it, when did this come out?
Are they a New York outfit?

The album came out in 1993 and 45 King handled alot of the production. The rapper (Lord Dumar) seems to have died before the album was released because the insert has a dedication to Edward "Dumar" Israel. I'm almost certain Class A Felony are from New York, they have an EastCoast sound, 45 King production etc however the fanclub info etc says WASHINGTON so who knows
