Punks Leader Question

Why was the leder of the punks wearing roller skates? Ok he showed up with em! If i was going to get in a fight,i would have taken them off! But maybe he was a hockey player,if not he was a fool.

what most people on this forun see to forget alot is evey warrior has his place, fox is a scout the punks leader isnt so why would u exchange them? same with rambradt hes a artist not a fighter so u cant trade him for a fury as there not the same class

Like we've said on numerous previous posts they didn't go to the meeting to fight. If they had Rembrant wouldn't have gone. A truce was on so give some of the younger members an adventure.

Those skates coulda done some damage if the Punk leader had stomped on one of the Warriors with them.

Ever see "Boogie Nights"? you can really mess someone up with roller skates, stoming on someone's skull. kicking them in the shins, I think he's a lot like Roller Girl, He never takes his skates off, i bet he japed alot of people with them on.

In my opinion it was dress Appearance.
I mean look at Cleon he had the Cover over his head. Then you got Cochise with all the jewelery it was something I guess said.

yeah true, I can really see Cleons head cloth getting in the way in fighting, limiting your side vision.

Well not really. He can probably bust a few heads with his eyes closed. Like in the beginning of the film when the Rouges are comming at him. Without even looking he gave a good elbow to Luthers head who was clearly behind him.

If the leader hadn't been wearing roller skates, what would you remember about the Punks? Nothing. They'd be that nameless, faceless gang that got stomped in the bathroom.

My only complaint about the Punks is that they should have been real Punks. I mean, the green mohawk and leopard print hair kind that hung outside CBGBs in the 70's. Look at the old Sex Pistols videos. That's what I'm talking about.

These guys looked more like farmboys than punks.

I think the overalls and the stripes would have still stuck in my head skates or not .Just because the fight with the Punks was one of the heavier fight scenes in the movie , that and of course the almighty Furies scene.

As for the Punks costume , I say they should have looked like the Ramones more. Pure nyc 70s punk rock baby!
