Count exactly how many spam posts and accounts there are to deal with here. We're talking well over 100 posts just in the last few days, and probably over 100 accounts just this week alone (not all of them post, for some reason, but you still have to ban them because they log in weeks later and start spamming). I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you've never modded a forum, but while deleting one post or banning one account (a two-step process if you do it right and ban the IP too) doesn't exactly take much time, it adds up, and getting rid of all these spammers alone would probably take hours.

Frankly, if I could just hand a couple of people mod, I would, but I don't have the power to give out positions like that so it's basically down to War Chief or Kartoon. I'd suggest a few of the people who posted on the first page, like Ninth Delegate or turnbull gbr (or any of the other dudes with over 500 posts, I'm just throwing two random names out there) since you all seem to actually care about the forum and are trustworthy enough not to abuse the privilege.

On that note, has anyone tried to email War Chief recently? I tried a while back for some reason I can't remember, and it gave me a send failed notification, so I assumed the email wasn't working. It could have been a one-off glitch though now that I think about it.

I've contacted warchief a few times. Never had a notification for failure to send.
I may have an idea why it didn't send. Since the forum change, you can only send and recieve a limited ammount of PM's without deleting your old mail. Could be that.

Can you count suckas? I say this site is in troble if you can count. Now look what we have here before us: we have the new bloods posting in The Hangout. We've got spammers right by veteran members. Nobody is banning nobody. That.. is a problem. And problems is not the way things ought to be. You're posting right now with 100 spammers from 9 countries, and theres over 20 more. That's about 8 or 9 of us counting newbloods, and a lot more not registered, but ready to join. Now there ain't but 1 or 2 mods still active on this whole board, can you dig it? Can you dig it? CAN YOU DIG It? Now here's the sum total: 3 or 4 mods could run this website. No one would join without them allowing it to happen. We could screen the new members, and weed out the spam because we run the site, suckas! Can you dig it? The problem in the past has been the spam distracting us from one another. We have been unable to see the truth because we have reading about special deals on cheap Ukrainian electronics. This spam, this little piece of spam. That's crap brothers! The board is ours by right, because it's our site. All we have to do is elect some new mods... we delete one spam post at a time. Secure our message board. Secure our posts! Because they're all our posts!

Hi guys. Sorry for the neglect! If someone can email me a list of mods that need activating then I can get that sorted out no prob. Best way to get me is via the contact form on my website as I check the emails in there daily.

Please all welcome Ninth Delegate and 4nik8 as new moderators. I am still accepting submissions for new mods. If you think you have what it takes and you are a long-standing, respected member of this forum, please leave a note in this thread.
