Now I'm almost glad I couldn't go, because I would have attempted to meet up and then it would have just been me and a person who in all honesty kind of creeps me out. And know me I would have forgotten my mace at home.

Generally, use of the phrase "in all honesty" precludes joking - given that, I'd say it was quite resonable for me to assume otherwise

Although, and I’m not exaggerating, every few minutes someone somewhere would yell out, "WAAAARRRIIOOORSS", every time I'd pass by, and dozens of people stopped me to take photos!
