i actually like the Langoliers, i guess Iam fascinated on the theory of time, and and how they cross connect to one another.  I wouldn't say its the greatest , but i like it.  but as for the ultimate scare I would say "It", how your mental fears are the root of all evil.

I would have to say IT. I could read that book and instantly have a heart attack.

I'll go for Different seasons.  If theres a film that i enjoyed that was based on a book, i like to track the book down and see what differences there are.  Different seasons contains Shawshank redemption and the body (stand by me).  The body tries to tie in with Cujo.

The Stand, easily. It is Stephen King's true masterpiece, his tour-de-force epic. So many parts of that book stuck with me for a long time after reading. The mini-series was great, too.

rage is a great book!! it's part of the bachman books that he wrote under the name richard bachman.

it's not so much a horror as a coming of age novel like stand by me. what do yous think?

it went out of print after being criticised as being an influence on real life school shootings. if you own a copy now it's worth a fortune.

Christine is definatly my favorite. What I wouldn't give for that '58 Plymouth (minus the demonic brainwashing)
I've also read Misery, and I just started reading Cujo.
