What is this NETFLIX? What does it do?

Whats this list about? Why is it called the criterion collection?

it's a collection of some of the finest films ever made.  when they are released by criterion, the film is shown in its entirety, no cuts or dubs.  also the company goes very far to add lost scenes, the history of the film and the actors.  they dig everywhere they can to find as much info as they can about the production.

are the lost scenes unserted into the film, or are they extras?

is the history a bonus feature on the DVD, or is it text on the DVD packaging?

I've just watched and loved "The French Connection", specially the chase scene. Thought you would like to add it to your list. I usually hate sequels but will probably watch "The French Connection II".

I've always been an under achiever, so i'd put my pass rate at 40%.

I watched "Machete" last night. Enjoyable film in a dumb B-movie kinda way. Danny Trejo being a bad ass and Jessica Alba getting her kit off; how can you go wrong with that formular. It wont be winning any oscars unless there's a catagory for worst hair peice, which goes to........... Steven Segal.

Also Watched the remake of Nightmare on Elm st. Despite it's bigger budget, it's not a patch on the original, although I do think Jackie Hayley is a better Freddy Kruger. A lot of the scenes are near identical but seem more rushed. You don't really get invested in the characters like the 80's version. The added back story worked well but I was dissapointed there was no boobs on show. Come on, its a slasher film tradition. I wanna see a naked girl get butchered.

Tonights viewing will be the sequal to 30 days of night.
