It's a mark 2 vest.  Construction wise, the leather and cut are identical to all the other sellers vests on ebay.

Personally, I wouldn't purchase from THIS seller because they have manipulated the image with photoshop to give the vest's colour an appearence it is not. (ironically, it's actual colour is closer to the movie worn vest, which would be a better selling point).  Don't buy anything from dishonest sellers.

Ok, I've started a couple different topics asking about the quality of vests, and so far, neither seemed to be any good. So i guess a better question would be; Are there any good quality/movie acurate vests on ebay under $200?

SM has good, accurate vests. I don't know if there is one on Ebay at the moment, you can send him a message thru Ebay and see if he's got any in stock.

take this vest in size small, only $129

http://cgi.ebay.com/WARRIORS-LEATHER-VEST-MEZCO-XBOX-SZ-S-XXL-/300424520469?cmd=ViewItem&pt=US_CSA_MC_Vests&var=&hash=item8bb2e43b97

then, change the warbird for the slightly larger ccWizard patch (cost me under $30 at a local tailor)

Next, boil up 30 bags of black tea (shut up triscender), dump it in a vat, and let the vest soak overnight

After it dries, use that dye stuff to darken the way too bright diamond areas

Finally, oil up the thing a few weekends in a row (use only PURE Neatsfoot Oil) to really soften it up

In my opinion, no one has sold a decent movie accurate vest.  As far as the Shah Meeran produced vest's go, the piping is the best thing about them.  The cut of the front of the vest is way too short and the quality of the middle eastern leather leaves a lot to be desired and can go a bit like cardboard.
The newer batches of these vests look like they have got more of a maroon tint to them (ok if you want a video game version but bad for a movie accurate peice) in comparioson to the earlier tan shade.  You can get a seamstress to remove the awful beige leather under the mark 3 piping.
The mondotee's mark 2 is a longer cut (though needs reducing on the width) and is a better quality of leather, BUT it's colour is way off and it's piping is a fail.  It also has too many peices of leather to it.  It's patches are better than what you get on other vests.
You can get something made from scratch for around $170 with good patches and dyed to the colour of your choice, but all the ones i've seen so far have lame piping.

If you do get a vest and decide to add the ccWizard warbird to it; trim away some of the black border around the bottom of the wings and jaw.

What I would do, is buy a cheap vest for the piping (maybe beincogneato they are $40). You can buy CC WIZARD's patches for $20 (offer it, they will accept). Then buy a vintage vest in the correct color (I got one for $15 in the orange/brown color). Take it all to a tailor and have him/her take apart the piping and add all to the vintage vest. I had the piping, but all in all the vest cost me $35. It was fun to make my own vest. And it will be a one of a kind.

Nice tips, this should be on wikihow or something

Going back to my suggestion, I did a little research for you on eBay:

Here is a $19.99 starting bid for a Vintage vest that you can very easily alter the color to your like $19.99+13.00 shipping= $32.99:

http://cgi.ebay.com/COOL-VINTAGE-MENS-B ... 992wt_1139

Of course CC WIZARD's patches (which I think they look awsome) for $27.77 BUY IT NOW or MAKE AN OFFER. I made a $20 offer shipped and they accepted= $20 total:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Warriors-movie-vest ... 444wt_1139

Costume WARRIORS vest for piping (cheapeast i could find) $43.99+$14.95 shipping= $58.94:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Adult-Mens-Warriors ... 976wt_2038

That would be a $111.00 hang made and before putting together the vest at the tailors (Unless you do it by yourself.). Maybe you can offer CC less to bring down the cost, or finder a cheaper method of getting the piping), but I think that is a great deal for what would become a great vest. And again I always liked the idea of putting together your own vest.

Might be a too big for a lot of members, but here's an ebay auction for one of these vests with the patches swapped.  Notice how the warbird is a bit too high so it covers all the stitch holes from the previous patch

SM09's vests are decent. My advise is to make your own. There is a thread to help ya along.
