To ANY starter vest, you would have to do some oil and vintage treatment to get it screen accurate. My WARBIRD is almost exactly like the one on GOLDEN CLOSET and i have been doing that one for weeks. I think any vest you will need to oil.

The compact vest is just the smaller version of the mini vest. Unless you are very small, youll want the mini vest.

I'm getting tired of looking daily. I can't beleive I can't find an close ORANGE/BROWN leather vest. I even put a call to one of my HK leather factories to do a one off and they are having trouble finding the right shade. I am really surprised that no one here has made just the vests. I think they would sell better than the RED/BROWN that fly off ebay.

What is funny is anyone who does that and doesn't add the piping or patches cannot be touched by paramount of beincogneato. I know most fans think it is the red and that stinks because that is what makers are going to give the public. I think beincogneato should make a small run of "museum quality" screen acurate vests. Number them and everything. They would make a killing I think. Make them of good material, the right color, the right piping, the patches vintaged. I think they would sell. Lord knows I would buy one.

I remember back a few years ago a1american flags used to sell the Pakistan vest without the patches and they had the trim, although the pockets were wrong.  They sold them in Tan and in black, but the funny thing was more people wanted the darker reddish color (which I like).  A few guys would dye them darker or paint them, but now I guess people are swinging towards the lighter color.  I don't know but maybe the Shar Meeran or Pakistan maker would make them in the tan or lighter color if you could get a hold of them.  May be Charlieangel or Charloots or whatever can get them, if you email him.  I remember an old member, Dave Mac had a lighter vest but wanted bigger patches.

First, I def DO NOT think they have the skill or money (funny I think they read this) to pull off a museum quality, but they DO have the license and (if I was them) would look at not only the archives, but I am sure SOMEWHERE in PARAMOUNT there is a vest or a reference that they could go off of. THEY would have the easiest time than any of us.

If you search WARRIORS VEST, you can find the pakistani vest maker but you have to buy bunch of them. Does anyone know if they even have the correct color. If you look at the Finaly a homemade vest" thread, you can see the color is NOT the REDDISH (The golden closet pic as well as the "Swan's cough screen worn cough vest pic). Remember, they ran through the rain (to wet the floors to have the lighting shine "warriors dvd"), if you take a light leather and wet it, it will change colors. I don't know. I just want the correct color vest, no piping, no patches, pockets in the right place, seams rightly sewn. I'll oil to change the color myself, but I'm sticking with the color is like the one from golden closet.

let me know if you find anything. yes i think the original color of the vest is lighter and then some vests were more oiled than others. if you look at ajax's vest around the top rocker - you notice that the area is very dark. if i remember correctly in the beach scene you notice that vermins vest is lighter towards the shoulders and then gets darker below.

How much the person wearing the vest sweats. They had no under-shirts, so the dark color would be diff on each in diff places.
