ive always wondered who he is too me he looks like one o the people out of and gang that dressed in black tanktops you see in a train station ear the sdtart of the movie

I used to go crazy over that issue. This forum helped me let it go. It was suggested in the "nuts" thread that Fox couldn't have been the only witness. I always wished that witness would have been given one tiny scene at the meeting or just after to give us some logic. But I let it go. By the way, when I was younger, I thought he was a Rogue who quit Luther's abusive regime.

I do still think he is a Rouge who didnt want the Riffs on him so went to them.
Like one of the Rouges who was worried when they were at the gas station(i think), and said he didnt want the Riffs after them.

i just think hes from a random gang at the meeting who saw him and heard on the radio they was blaming the warriors and he felt they didnt deserve to be framed so he went and owned up

We'll never know what gang he was from, but it's pretty certain he was not a rogue. Remember, the guy says to Masai "He says he saw who shot Cyrus." If he was a Rogue, the guy would have said "He knows who shot cyrus."

Yeah sometimes I try not to stress myself out about. My guess is that he probably thought he would get some rightous reward out of it. You know like "good karna". So he was just probably a simple random guy who eaither respected Cyrus, and thought atleast the rightful people should be punished, or someone, from a gang with little popularity, and would do anything for notification.

Ye molotov he didn't know who shot Cyrus... he only SAW who! I suppose that's just right!!!

But now I've another question in my mind... if that guy wasn't a rogue, not from an affiliated rogues gang, and listened surely to the radio about The Warriors (knowing they weren't guilties)... why didn't he go and speak to Masai as soon as possible!!!??? I mean he went to the Riffs in a damn late, or not? After he went there, we can see the Warriors coming back to Coney... and it's already dawn!!! 8)

IMO,he was so late because of one main reason:the police on the streets.Let's say he somehow managed to get back to his turf,avoiding all the policemen on the streets that were looking for gang members.That would take him at least a couple of hours,depending where his turf is.Then he would have heard on the radio that the Riffs are looking for the Warriors instead of the Rogues.After that he was probably contacted the leaders of his gang to see with them what to do.Reaching the decision to send him back to Masai would also take some time.Going back,he would also face the same problem he had before:the police.So by the time he would get to Masai,taking the back streets and going around in order to avoid the police,it would be almost a dawn already.

exactly he would have took a while because of the cops, proving the fact he wouldnt drop his colours for no one because that would have made it easier to avoid the cops and maybe other gangs so he was obviously loyal, so he did the right thing tellin mesai the rogues were resposible

Ye I understand the loyalty, the cops, the colours... and the reality, I mean that's the movie!!!

Anyway he had to do the same thing Cleon did, I mean he could directly go near Cyrus body and tell to the other Riffs who was the guilty!!! I don't remember Cleon met the police!!! IMO 8)

maybe because of struggle he didnt want to tell the riffs straight away and because he didnt know the warriors were framed, imagine what would happen on the beach if that guy didnt say anything

Its a true difference between "he saw" and "he knows"...but I always thought he looked like a Rogue...he could've used his words the wrong way or maybe he did say it correctly and the Masai's servant used the wrong words...most of these guys may or may not come from educated families but decide to find the "families" of the streets - gangs...and usually they don't have good english grammar which can be noticed in the movie...

1. The man who confesses could be a Rogue who got tired of Luther and his craziness

2. He was one of the other Rogues who stayed behind and was sent to check up on Luther...came to the meeting just when Luther was about to shoot Cyrus...and pondered the whole night of whether he should tell who did it or not

3. Luther had planned it out before the meeting with the other 8 Rogues...the "teller" overheard and was afraid to stand up to Luther...but got the courage later on when he heard that another gang was being framed for it...I don't think that the rest of the Rogues who stayed behind would have planned it

Either that or he must be from another gang that was there however I don't believe this because of what he's wearing...two gangs are not supposed to look alike!

some interesting points, id have to go with the fact that hes from a different gang and has some morals and knows the warriors dnt deserve to be framed
