The last week in august. Schools and universities are still on holiday, most tourists go earlier so it wont be as busy, slightly cooler climate (not always. can never tell these days), its towards the end of the holiday season so flights and hotel packages are less pricey, For us that are working, most people have already booked the july and early august slots so we might not be able to have the same time off, and most importantly............................................................
ITS THE FINAL WEEK OF CONEY!!!! Ive no idea how much construction work will have started by then, but at least we'll all get to go on the wonder wheel.

I say July because first of all I have To take the dreaded REGENTS EXAM (I HATE IT).And during that time u have the Hot Dog eating contest and the 4th of July.A lot of tourist comes to visit nyc at the time and a lot of International people love the movie. It is a cool date for me including the wider audience

Sounds perfect to me. Realistically, this date gives us the maximum time to save up. I'm hoping coney does something speacial for its final week. Are we still making this a two day event, with one day being for touring the locations? Is it possible to fit EVERYTHING into one day? Friday 28th for touring (i'm guessing it wont be as busy as the weekend) and saturday 29th for meet and greet, signing sessions and viewing of the movie. This is the date I would have chosen.

Well it is dependent on finding somewhere to host the event which is proving tricky in the summer. I am not convinced as to whether Coney Island will be radically different by the end of the year. For a start, the place looks really different already with most of the rides shut and gone, and I am sure it would take months and months to raze the other areas. I don't know though!
