Should the Riffs have wasted the Warriors?
The Riffs must have been really damn stupid to belive the word of a single gang member. I can't belive Masai went through all this trouble for the wrong gang. His I.Q. hit 0 as soon as he believed Luther.

Considering they weren't detectives, the police were mobbing the scene anyways, and they didn't have anything else to go on but a desire for revenge, I wouldn't say he was that stupid to trust the only thing he heard about the entire incident.Ajax Heavy Muscle wrote:The Riffs must have been really damn stupid to belive the word of a single gang member. Should the Riffs have wasted the Warriors?
Whenever Swan says "The best" I always considered it as some mere posturing from Swan that Swan and The Warriors definitely earned the right to do for a brief second. I think the Riffs' leader understood that. I never really took it as a shot or a challenge to The Riffs, or even that Swan was saying they're the best gang in NYC or anything, despite what it sounds like. It just seems like a resolution of The Warriors' accomplishment of making it home. But hey, The Warriors just may be the best indeed.
About the hockey sticks, especially travelling to coney, who knows when a pickup game may break out so it's better to be prepared. Remember this is the 70's, when hockey and the NHL was at its most violent, so maybe even more gangs were into playing! And they all made fun of the Baseball Furies ("wimps").
