The Rock would make a great Cyrus. He has charisma and he can address a crowd quite well- it would be like cutting a promo. Some people seem to disagree, and that's cool and all, but I can't imagine anyone else playing Cyrus any more.

Obviously, the director will have to keep him on a leash or we'll get:

Cyrus: "Caaaaan you DIG it? Caaaaaaaaan you DIIIG it?"
Crowd: (appreciative noise)
Cyrus: "It doesn't matter if you can dig it- Cyrus says this: those roodie-poo police etc etc jabronie blah blah candy-ass yadda yadda. (raises eyebrow and looks at camera for 30 seconds).

Which would not make the most edifying opening scene.
