Superman Returns

Post by neoviper76 »

Anybody stoked about this movie???? Im undecided yet. By the looks of the pictures they've posted....it looks decent. I guess i'm just not thrilled about this movie taking place in the middle of the ohters. So youre gonna have Chris Reeves....Chris Reeves......Brandon Routh......Chris Reeves. Why not just restart from the beginning like they did with Batman.

This regards the first Christopher Reeve of 1978.  My favorite moment is the exchange between Superman and the pimp:  "Say Jim"  "Excuse me"  "Thats a bad outfit!  Whoo!"

The original will always be the best. I just hope nothing happens to this cat. It seems that anyone who plays Superman ends up dying or getting hurt.

Well I saw it.  I respect them for paying homage to '78 several times throughout the movie.  Overall I wasn't too impressed.  It's weird how often you think about Christopher Reeve while watching this movie and that kind of drags you down.  But, I must give credit to a very surprising scene that was by far the highlight.  The whole theater clapped.  It was of course, the piano scene.  Very, Very cool!

Gotta agree without givin much away the piano scene made my day and saved the show for me. Generaly was alot of the same old, same old, but was good and worth seeing it if your a fan. Three of my son's and I seen it and we had a good time.

I personaly think they need to up the action and the bad guys (Lex has always been my fav from the 60s comics and older shows but to get the younger crowd?) . Realize they need to keep it for the family but Superman needs to get down and kick some serious butt.

Gotta admit Reeve was missed but Routh did a good job. Hope its a hit, am looking foward to seeing more. ;)

Indeed, the end when Superman flies into high skies made me sad due to Christopher Reeve playing that part so many times. The guy that played Superman was alright, he knew he was up against a Reeve's crowd, but he held his own. Kevin Spacey could of been more darker. The special effects were good, the rest of the cast.....SUCKED!!! Oh, and they could of done without the kid!!! Sorry!!

I saw it, thought it was just "okay." Then I went home and watched Batman Begins. And. it. totally. ruled.

I liked this movie, Brandon Routh played a good Superman. He's not as good as Christopher Reeve but he was a great choice to play Superman, I was glad I went to go see it.
