Having watched the special features last night I'm settling down later tonight to watch the film (I did have a peak though!)

How depressing that the original DVD is withdrawn - this is like George Lucas and Star Wars where the original versions are now (and forever will be apparently) unavailable.

The WARRIORS Ulitmate Directors Cut is now the 6th top selling dvd on the market as of this week. 22.5M gross receipts. that is according the Entertainment Weekly list they put out, every week. And last week it wasn't even listed.

Disney's Cinderella is Top.

I don't have a problem with the Director's Cut. I think Hill had us die hard fans in mind when he released it....to me; it isn't a far cry from the original. He himself said, he's not too keen on changing what he originally created.

I don't think she'll like it either way. She didn't think it was all that cool the other night before dinner when I told her "I'll shove that mixing spoon up your ass and turn you into a popsicle."

That. Was. Beautiful. But really she'll probably feel better about your rectal threat after she hears the line first hand.

Watched The Ultimate Director's Cut - gorgeous picture quality but as most agree, the comic book insertions were unnecessary and just served to be heavy handed. The Greek introduction was pretty cheesy too. Worts of all was the end sequence where the long walk into the sunset was cut almost before it began.

I wonder if Walter Hill will acknowledge he's made a mistake when the vast majority of fans seemingly wish he'd left the edit of the film alone?

LOLOLOLOLOL i'm sorry!!! :D
ok, ok! maybe not THE most ridiculous, but close!!
come on! if him or paramount, woulda gave half-a-crap about what the fans "actually" wanted, they would put in the very few deleted scenes, there are for this movie!!!
i didn't really have a problem with the dvd, until i went to buy a few others dvd's, and saw the vast extra content, that every other s.e. dvd had!!! countless hrs. of extra feature's, 2 version's of the film, all kinds of stuff!!
and the new cut of the movie, i can go either way, the comic book stuff is kinda silly, the music sounds good, but it doesn't have that same power, or grit! it's almost 2 clean!! :D
same with the picture. i like thing's a little more, i dont know, dirty, or something!!
make no mistake, hill, and paramount, did this dvd for them, and for cash!!!!
and we paid for it!!

ok, well you've clashed with me a bit, consider yourself welcomed!!
and i dont waste my very limited typing abiltity, to give just ANYBODY a hard time!! ;)

BTW welcome to the forum! :D

You made some valid points. Would have been cool if you could have just stated them in your previous reply without the insult, but hey...it's all good, I'm cool. 8)

In case you find it difficult to resist AGAIN.....I look forward to chatting with ya in the ladies forum. ;)

I saw warriors when i was about 13  but i was half asleep when me and my m8 started watching it. I got the game and liked it loads so i got the new directors cut. I guess there is a lot of differences between the directors cut and the origional so ill hafto buy the origional.
