HA! Yes, there was spam that was removed, but may not have removed fully, thus leaving that trace

I'd say that the forum needs a re-index...

Right hand side of the board index, there's a tab under the warbird that says "Mark forums read". I have to use that to stop the stubborn posts from constantly showing up. On a related note, there's some issues of members posts not showing up when you try to read them.

I'm still trying to buy a new kitchen with the free online roleplay gold.

While it's obvious a film that was rumoured for last year never happened. If there is going to be a remake, I don't like the idea of it. The original film has this amazing yet strange atmosphere to it that I can't ever see being replicated. The fighting spirit of the warriors, the madness of Luther, the lost hope in Cyrus' dream of the gangs of New York banding together...even with the soundtrack right from the very first scene you're plunged into this strange and creepy underworld of New York city.

I think that's part of the attraction the film had to gain it's cult status, is the atmosphere it created seems to just...draw you in to the world Walter Hill created and watch these guys fight for their lives within it.

Great point. The atmosphere created in the movie is so eerie and surreal. I have always
felt that there is no way you could replicate that exact feel again. It could only come
from the late 70's, from New York city. The whole movie is just brimming with contradictions,
that all seem to fit together and make sense as a whole.

I watched it again a few days ago (with my Auntie Jane, heh). It had been awhile. I gotta
say, when that first scene opened up, with that strange, menacing music and the visual
of the Wonder Wheel glowing in the night...I was giddy! I was 12 again, back in 1981,
with my copy of the Warriors on VHS:)
