Sure, one or two nutters may go and do something stupid after playing a violent game, but these people are bound to do something crazy sooner or later anyway, whether they play the game or not. What about the millions of responsible people out there who play these games and don't go killing people? Should we have to suffer because of a few bad apples?
And violent video-games haven't been around that long, am I mistaken or weren't there violent murders before their arrival? It's the same with the horror movies/video-nasties they banned in the 80s, it drives me mad when the government tries to tell us what we can and can't watch, like we're little kids, ain't this a Democracy? The truth is there's been violence since the beginning of time, long before games or films even existed. There are loads of things that can be blamed before the finger is pointed at video-games, our governments for example.
Any reasonably intelligent or sane person can tell the difference between video-game violence and real-life violence. If you can't, not only should you not be playing these games, but you shouldn't be allowed out in public.
Now if you'll excuse me, I've got a killing spree to go on.

It's all about government taking responsibility out of the parents hands. These do-gooders piss me off as well. I played a lot of violent games and watched a lot of violent horror movies when I was young but my parents didn't raise a fool. I know reality from fantasy. If your son or daughter acts out the violence in these games/movies.. guess what parents?...you raised a class A moron!
Yes, Yes - to Gonzo you listen!
Instead of laying the blame on Movies, Video Games, Music, and any other insignificant thing they can think of, maybe the government should start putting the parents of these "poor socialy missunderstood teens" who take an assault rifle to school and whack 10 or 20 of thier unsuspecting classmates before turning the gun on themselves because some chippy wouldn't go to the junior prom with them in jail.
Didn't the police discover pipe bombs on one of the kid's desk in his room after Columbine. And the Kid's mother was like "well I don't go in his room, he wanted his privacy.
Yeah, the day I would have told my father, R.I P., to stay out of my room cause I want privacy, is the day I would have gotten my own private room - in the hospital.

How does Bully even resemble the "tragedy at Columbine HS"? The article I read in EGM said nothing about strapping bombs to yourself and going on a shooting spree at your school. The problems with controversies like this stem from the fact that the bigwigs of society can just say whatever they want, and surround themselves with yes-men and no one asks for a single shred of proof, in this case, how Bully even resembles Columbine.
I mean, maybe if the main character exceeds his bully-meter or something then you get a game-over cut scene featuring the nerds coming to school with automatic rufles and stuff. Then I could maybe see their point.

Apparently there are protests outside of the New York Rockstar studio because of Bully.

Knowing Rockstar, the next GTA game will have protesters in it. Remember the Hare Krishnas in the original GTA, perhaps something similar! ;

considering the violence and encouraged drug use in the warriors game, i'm going to pre-order mine and have it shipped to my door before it hits the stores!! i'm sure our 'self-appointed--we know what's best for JQPublic' gestapo will be hot on the trail as soon as some 'whiney--never take responsibility for your own actions' parent sees what their 8 year old is playing!!

hey, they let NARC go, they can certainly let one drug go that recharges your health compared to a bunch of drugs that help you kill people/distort your vision...

Why is it People always think this kind of stuff. I mean its merely a Game not some sort of Guide to how do these things.
In My opinion if it bothers anybody then maybe we should get them glasses they so desperately need to read the ESRB Rating
