Any new good music?
Any new good music?
How about it guys? Anyone here heard anything good? Honestly I have lost complete focus in music in the past few months. Nothing good has come out!

Depends on what you mean by new...
New as in not even released an album yet: Glasvegas, A bunch of guys (and a girl) from Glasgow, they make brilliant mellow tracks, lyrics are a bit guff on occasion though.
New as in the last couple of years: Maximo Park, A bunch of guys from Newcastle, and they make punchy indie records (along with the occasional slow track). Brilliant band, superb live.
New as in been around for a while but still producing albums: Muse, I'll put it like this, there have been three major innovative guitarists who have changed the way guitar is played. Jimi Hendrix was the first, Eddie Van Halen was the second. Matt Bellamy of Muse recently became the third, mixing electronics with huge, crunching riffs, but transforming them into something sublime.
Something different: John Legend, I love this guy's music. There aren't many pure soul singers around anymore but this guy is just about keeping the genre alive on his own.
List of others (off the top of my head):
Kasabian
Audioslave
Newton Faulkner
Incubus
Jack Penate
Queens of the Stone Age
Reverend and the Makers
The Coral
The Enemy
The Killers
All these bands have been making great music in the past year or so, at least in my opinion.

Yeah I guess I meant new released music, oops. I haven't heard anything. Right now I am listening to lots of 70's Kroutrock, I can't believe how underrated some of these bands are. They are German, but some sing in english.

Wolfmother is awesome, along with No Doubt and the Offspring. Although those last two have been around since the 90s.

Re: Any new good music?
My brother's mentioned that 'We Are The Robots' track... Hmm. I get internet sorted soon and will have to have a dig for that one. Don't suppose you've seen it, but Bill Bailey (English funnyman) does a nice dedication to Kraftwerk at the end of his 'Part-Troll' show. Must be on youtube somewhere...
Meanwhile, I have buried my head in a lot of 'Why?' and have the 'Alopecia' album cemented in me iPod. Love this nutty stuff. If someone said I'd be listening to this a few years ago I'd have laughed in their face!
