I uploaded mine and ran into that same problem. To have a 1k image it would need to be about 5 x 5px!!! I upped the file size nearly a week ago so you should have no problems now!

I am nuetral about a chatroom---my only real experience is with another show, but it seems like everything goes so fast, by the time you answer someone, it is so far up the scroll, you forgot the question. But that depends on how many users are there at once too.

We finally just dropped it, as no one came in anymore, as everyone liked the message board where you can think your answers through before you post and keep up alittle easier. But maybe I am too old to "get it". so I would be open to trying it, depending on how it was hosted, one I never could access, didn't have the right set up for it.

Newcomer musings...

Post by Sam from Pittsburgh »

Suggest a Mission.....most projects that are undertaken have a focus or Mission Statement....maybe it is the intent of our Webiste to not have a Mission but to have fun...which could be the mission!

I think the Remake is an opportunity for the webiste to capitalize on and gain visibilty and addional features....

I am a newcomer and am enjoiyng the site immensely...the way it is set up it first rate....always learning something new here and enjoy the audience....

not familair yet with the rnakings or what an avatar is or how the photos get assigned....but am sure I'll find out someday...

are gang costumes tradmarked by the movie producer?

They think we shot Cyrus! ......if we don't stick together, someone is going to get us!
First saw 'The Warriors' at West Virginia University in 1979. It was shown in a 'special room' in the Student Union. All of the New Jersey guys were excited about it. Just found the DVD and am glad to have it. Can recite almost all of it.

You can read about the rankings on a thread here-and ranks change according to how much you paricipate on the board. Just look for a thread with that title.

Avatars can be selected by cliking on "PROFILE" and it takes you to your information, and you scroll down to gallery, view gallery, and there are the pictures available to be under your username-clik on one and submit it.
there are a lot of new ones that are really cool.

I am not so sure about the actual clothing, I mean clothing is pretty generic, what would be trademarked are the images--like the image on the back of the Warrior vests ect. A known advertised exact image of that could get you into trouble if anyone reported it as a violation I imagine.

The trouble is, even now, if 4 people were to max out their 250KB on avatars then that's 1MB total. I'm not sure how many of you are on broadband but it would be pretty slow! Plus, it would start slowing down the server and it would eventually break the allocated bandwidth unit (amount of MB being downloaded). I think the emphasis should be on quality posting as opposed to massive images which fill the screen! :D

great point war chief!! i've seen some forums where there are no limits (height & width) to the avatar size and i think it makes the forum pages look sloppy!! i like the uniformity of this web site, it looks polished & accomplished!!

in fact, i was really surprised when i saw that the limit was raised to 250K, i was expecting maybe 5 or 10 K!!! but it was a pleasant surprise....

I was reading the new stuff that could happen and I had an idea, it my not be the best of ideas but I thought in response to more moderators there would be:
War Chief & Jamiepikee (fox) the offical leaders of the site and the Warriors which they are and then there could be a Leader and a War Chief in each of the different ranks i.e:
0 - 9 = Orphan Leader & War Chief
10 - 19 = High Hat Leader & War Chief
20 - 29 = Bopper Leader & War Chief
30 - 39 = Moon Runner Leader & War Chief
40 - 49 = Electric Eliminator Leader & War Chief
50 - 59 = Turnbull A.C. Leader & War Chief
60 - 69 = Punk Leader & War Chief
70 - 79 = Rogue Leader & War Chief
80 - 89 = Baseball Fury Leader & War Chief
90 - 99 = Gramercy Riff Leader & War Chief
100+ = Warrior Leader (jamiepikee) & War Chief (War Chief)
And they would be in charge of the people in those ranks.
