I'd like to comment on the last part by saying that I know Vermin punched Harley in the film but let's just ignore that. When you read the end you'll know why 8)
Enjoy!!
-----------
This was her favorite time of day. That small moment in time between when she woke up and when Vermin woke up. She just lay away, her head against his bare chest, listening to the waves breaking against the sand. If she was honest, she much preferred Coney Island to Gramercy and not just because her boyfriend lived there. She loved the sea, she loved the carnival and most of all she loved the fact she was a good long train ride away from the Riffs and Maisi.
It was now that she was alone with her thoughts sh began to wonder if his apology was just a cover for something else. Could the leader of the Riffs, the biggest gang in the city, really apologise to someone like her? She doubted it but was soon taken from her thoughts as Vermin began to come to life, the movement of his chest knocking her head away from its resting place.
"Morning" He muttered, still sleepy. Robin smiled lightly at him, moving her head back to where it was.
"Morning" She said "How's your head?" She asked. The night before Vermin had accepted Cochise's challenge to a drinking match and the end result was Robin and Snow supporting Vermin back to the Warriors appartment block and Robin putting him to bed, Vermin slurring sweet nothings the whole way.
"I feel like i've been hit by a truck..." He muttered "Did I do anything stupid last night?" Robin rolled her eyes.
"Not too stupid, but you kept telling me I was your best friend and that you loved Snow. I'm not sure if I should be a little worried..." She quipped. Her laughed as lightly as he could to save his head and kissed her on the cheek.
"You should know that Snow ain't my type" he let his head fall back on the pillow and his eyes stayed shut.
"Auw baby, are you really suffering?" Robin asked sweetly, drawling lines on his chest. Vermin nodded. "Then I suppose you're not in the mood to argue?" he opened one eye and stared at her with an eyebrow raised in question.
"What? Why would I want to argue?" He muttered, shutting his one eye again.
"Because we've been invited to a party at Maisi's place...The Warriors and the Harlots" Robin said quietly. Vermin didn't move or say anything for a moment and Robin was certain he was going to tell her that they weren't going.
"Alright" he said simply. Robin lifted her head suddenly and looked down at him, the sudden weight shift causing him to open his eyes and look up at her.
"Seriously?" She asked with a grin. Vermin nodded.
"Well, yeah, I mean if he's as changed as you said he is then there isn't a problem" He shut his eyes again and Robin leant down to kiss him.
"You're the best!" She said. He smiled, not bothering to open his eyes.
"I know, Now if you don't mind i'm going to sleep off that bottle of jack"

Maisi couldn't rememeber when he was felt more uncomfortable. He was standing opposite seven women, all of them looking less than feminine. Mike stood a few inches behind him feeling just an awkward.
"So let me get this straight, you want us to frame some guy so you can steal his girlfriend?" Harley said. She was sitting on a chair and her feet where up on Maisi's desk. Normally he would have commented and thrown her out but he needed her and her girls so he decided to keep her sweet.
"It's a little bit more complicated than that but basically thats correct. The guy you're going after is a Warrior called Vermin" Harleys head popped up and she smirked.
"I remeber that guy, he was pretty cute too. So it's his girlfriend you're looking to grab" Maisi nodded and Harley leaned back into the chair. "So whats the plan?" She asked. Maisi gave a small smile, happy that they were going to co-operate.
---------------------------
There had been a small down pour earlier in the day and the pavements of Gramercy were shining with the street lights. Swan, Mercy, Cochise, Snow, Rembrant, Cowboy and a few other Warriors were walking behind Vermin and Robin, who were walking hand in hand towards The Riffs place.
"Thanks for doing this, I know Maisi isn't exactly your favorite person" Robin said as they walked. Vermin shrugged.
"Now I never said that but it's alright, besides it's not like i'm the only Warrior here" he said. Robin smiled.
They could hear the party from halfway down the street, the noise only getting louder as they came to the entrance of the warehouse. They were met by two Riffs, one on each side of the door, who nodded and let them inside.
Robin had never seen so many gangs in the one area since the night of the conclave. There were Baseball Furies, Hi-Hats, Satans Mothers, Turnbulls, Boppers, Savage Huns, Moonrunners, Saracens, Hurricanes, Punks and Lizzies. Robin noted that there were no Rogues or Orphans at the party but that didn't surprise her one bit.
They moved around everyone, saying their hello's and in some cases the Warriors getting an apology from a few gangs about the night of the conclave. Rembrant had gone off to find Melody, eventually going away somewhere quiet to make out. Maisi stood with a few gang leaders talking, while at the same time keeping his eye on Robin and Vermin. Harley walked up to him.
"How I am supposed to do this thing if they never leave each others side!?" She exclaimed. Maisi knew she was right, those two were glued at the hip. Then, out of the corner of his eye he spotted an oppertunity. The Satans Mothers.
"Come on, I have an idea" he said.
Spider had known Robin for as long as he could remeber. Robin's Dad had named Spider her God Father and she was always around the hang out. Maisi walked over to Robin in a rare moment that she wasn't hanging onto Vermin, even though he was still near her.
"Robin, have you spoken to Spider yet?" he asked. Robin's face lit up and she grinned.
"Spider's here? Where?" She asked. Maisi pointed in the direction of the Satans Mothers, happy as she ran in that direction, leaving Vermin alone talking to a mixture of Moonrunners and Boppers along with Cowboy and Swan. She figured he could live without her for fifteen minutes.
"Spider!" She exclaimed running over to the biker and hugging him.
"Robin Andrews! My god, you've grown up. What are you doing here?" He asked. Robin smiled and turned around to show him the logo on the back of her vest.
"I'm the head of a gang now. The Harlots" She said with a smile. Spider laughed.
"You're just like your Dad. He'd be really proud of you" he said. Robin looked around the other members of the gang.
"Is my Dad here?" She asked. Spider shook his head.
"Fraid' not Darlin'. There was a big deal goin' down and he wanted to oversee it himself" Robin sighed.
"Well, I guess i'll just have to come down to Brooklyn and see him soon" She said with a cheery smile. Spider looked over to where Vermin was standing and then back to Robin.
"So whats the story with the guy you came in with?" he asked. Robin smiled.
"That is my boyfriend Vermin. He's a Warrior" She said. Spider nodded.
"Yeah I've heard good things about the Warriors. You just make sure he treats you right or he'll have us to deal with" he said. Robin smiled.
"Don't you worry, He's great" She said quietly. Spider put his arm around the Brunette.
"Come on, lets get you a beer"
Meanwhile....
Vermin was standing with a group of different gang members, all talking about random things from gang deals to sports. Robin had gone to talk to the Satans Mothers and he guess she wouldn't be back for a while since they had a lot to catch up on. He felt a tap on his shoulder and he turned around to be greeted with a familiar face he hoped to never see again.
"Hi there" Harley said with a sweet smile. She didn't look the same as Vermin remembered her. The lumberjack style shirt and ill fitting jeans were gone and in place of them was a mini skirt and tight fitting Tshirt. He had to admit, she looked pretty but he wouldn't allow himself to get sucked in. He knew exactly what she was capable of.
"Hi Harley, hows things down at Union Square?" He asked. She moved her body closer to him and batted her eyelashes.
"Things are great. How are things in Coney?" Vermin sighed.
"Better now I'm not being shot at" He stated. Harley let out a small laugh.
"I know and believe me, all the girls are real sorry about what happened that night. We were just going on what we were told" She said, the sickly sweet smile still on her face. Vermin rolled his eyes.
"Yeah I know, thats what I've been told from the rest of the gangs in here. So how does it feel to have another all girl gang piling the pressure on? Suddenly your little group isn't so special" Vermin commented, taking another drink of his beer. Harley took in a deep breath, promising to keep her temper to herself. She moved her body closer to him, so close that he took a step back only to be met with stone wall. She was leaning against him and looking up at him through her dark lashes. Vermin didn't know if it was the beer or her heavily applied perfume but something was making his head spin.
"Oh Baby, the Harlots have got nothing on us and that is a fact" she said, her voice heavy. From the corner of her eye she could she Robin making her way around the corner, looking for Vermin and out of no where Harley through her arms around Vermin's neck, pulling the Warrior down into a rough kiss that took him totally by surprise, her whole stregth being used to keep him in that position.
Someone had once told Robin that reason played no part in love and as far as she was concerned there was no time or place for reason. She knew that Harley had a thing for Vermin and she knew that he was the one who hit on her on the night of the conclave. What was she suppose to think? Seeing red, she stormed over to the two, grabbing Harley by the shoulder and pulling her away before punching her in the face breaking her nose and sending the Lizzie to the floor. She then turned to Vermin.
"How could you!?" She exclaimed, her anger melting away until all that was left was hurt. Vermin shook his head and made frantic hand gestures all indicating that he didn't do anything.
"No, it's not what you think! She..." Robin shook her head.
"I don't want to hear it alright!? God and to think I was actually....you know what, forget it!" She said, tearing forming in her eyes. Quickly she turned around and ran outside. Vermin felt a hand on his arm just as he was about to follow.
"No man, just let her go for now. Let her calm down" Swan said quietly. Typical Swan, Verming thought, Always calm and cool. Harley had crawled away, leaving a small pool of blood where she had first lay. Her head was screaming in pain and blood ran down her front. Vermin sneered at her. She didn't look pretty at all anymore, not even remotely attractive. She looked like exactly what she was, low class street trash that had just recieved what was coming to her. Masai was quietly standing out of the way of the commotion when Harley staggered up to him, blood still all over her face.
"Did you see that? Did you see what the little whore did to me?!" She shouted, her hands covering her gushing nose. Masai sneered at her.
"You'll get paid double for your troubles. Now get out of my sight, I think you've caused enough of a fuss don't you?" He said. Harley growled as best she could before slipping away to the other Lizzies. Masai smiled. His plan was all coming together nicely.
-------------------
The rain was bouncing off the streets so hard it sounded like machine gun fire and Robin now started to think that just running blindly into the night wasn't such a good idea. She was soaked to the skin, freezing, had no idea where she was and worst still no-one had any idea where had gone. She hugged her arms around herself and shivered. The water ran down her face, leaving black stripes from her eyes to her jaw. She looked around herself, squinting to see past the sheets of rain that were hitting her in the face. With a small smile she finally saw a sign.
"Greenwich Village" she said to herself "Man...I'm faster than I realised. I've gone way out" She muttered to herself. It was now that she was walking in soaking jeans and dripping leather boots she was wondering why she didn't just go straight back to the Harlots hang out.
"Because he would have followed me..." She muttered to herself. It was getting to be a bad habit, talking to herself, but she was cold tired and need the company. Even if it was just herself.
------------------
"Big news on the streets boppers! It's all high alert from the Harlots as their leader has gone missing. A bust up at the Riff's party apparently caused the Harlot to spook and a Lizzie to end up with a broken nose. Lets hope that with that cold rain poring that the chick is found real soon. It's been said that Masai is out looking personally" The radio blared out the latest news to the Warriors hangout. Vermin was sitting, soaked to the bone, with his head on the table near the radio. He had been out looking himself for the past two hours and it was only when his hands had started to go numb did he admit defeat.
"Yeah i'll be he is" Vermin muttered bitterly. He should have known the moment Harley started talking to him that she was up to no good but that was Vermins problem, giving people the benefit of the doubt. He felt a warm towel suddenly wrap around his shoulders.
"Here, I thought you might need this. You look a bit damp" Mercy said lightly. Vermin lifted his head and looked up at her.
"Thanks Mercy" he said, standing up and taking his vest off so he could dry his bare chest. Mercy sat down on one of the chairs.
"So are you going to tell me what happened?" she asked. Once he had dried himself he sat back down, leaving his colours on the back of the chair to dry but always keep one hand on it.
"I...I was just standing talking to people and then out of no where this Lizzie plants one on me right when Robin could see. Robin just went crazy, which I can't blame her for, and then she ran out of the place. Don't know where she went or where she is now" He said quietly. "I don't even know why she did it"
Mercy raised an eyebrow.
"Why Robin tried to get away?"
"No, why Harley tried to kiss me" Mercy sat and thought for a moment.
"Why don't you go and find out?" She asked. Vermin raised his head from where they were leaning on his hands.
"I can't, It wouldn't be right for me to intimidate a girl" He said. Mercy smiled.
"Well you might no be able to but I sure can. Come on, get changed and then we're heading to Union Square!" With a grin Vermin stood up and threw his vest back on and together the two of them began to make their way outside.
