Thread subjects

Post by prozium »

I've noticed this before but it isn't until now that it started bugging me.

Why aren't we allowed to have more serious topics? It seems politics, religion and other similar issues aren't allowed to be discussed. The religion thread in Off Topic was a perfectly civil, intersting and overall enriching thread where we can learn about our fellow members, yet it was closed on principal.

I understand wanting to avoid flaming and such, but that thread had no problems at all, if someone had started talking down on someone elses religion, then sure I understand if it had been closed, yet this had nothing.

And if it's an issue of not being about the warriors (Fox mentioned something related) then why do we even have other forums?

I just think we could all enjoy an interesting thread like that one, or political debates, and they don't have to become anything bad unless you make it bad.
SUPER HAPPY PINEAPPLE MAN!

PLEASE RESIZE YOUR SIG TO THE CURRENT RULES

The thread was heading that way.

We have had many problems with politics, Religion  and race being discussed in the past on this site.

We are looking into trying to get the site back to more Warriors based. Watch this space.

I come here to get away from the day to day turmoil of everyday life.

Look at the news what is behind most of the terrible headlines? See the second line...............

I agree with both of you guys here. It is interesting to talk to other members about their religions and backgrounds etc. How they live their lives and what interests they have.

But there are members on here from all over the world, some will not share the same opinions as others. Some will be biased against other peoples points of view.
The religion thread was a great idea, but probably would of ended up with one member kicking off with another. One thing would of lead to another. We can't have a thread about new sigs without an argument kicking off, the religion thread was doomed from the start.

you know...

im kinda sick of people asking "why"

why? beacuse we said you cant...isnt that enough? i mean...why?

beacuse we said so..thats why

and while that may be rude, just run with it hu guys?
And if it's an issue of not being about the warriors (Fox mentioned something related) then why do we even have other forums?
honestly im not for any of the other parts of the forum, for just this reason....maybe we should close them

i wonder how many of you guys would stick around if all you had to talk about was the warriors, on a warriors forum? :doubt:

Id certainly stay around if there where just the warriors based threads but i dont think they should go because where a community, right? and the off-topic threads are good ways to interact where our fellow "communers"
