Soldier Rank

So what does one have to do to get a soldier rank. I waited a long time to get one of those vests over my picture. SO what do I have to do to get a soldier rank which i see is what it takes to get one aside from moderator or administrator.

You have to get 1000+ posts for a special rank like that.
