What kind of forum would that be? Sounds mental. What kind of things do people want to post? :?:
Uh... let me dig out some pictures, just for humour value.

Yeah i think CUBS still has his own warriors forum, maybe he don't mind stupid posts. (Not trying to offend you there CUBS by the way).
Why is it suddenly people are questioning the rules and trying to have more fun on the forum. I don't remember anybody complaining a few months ago.

If you want to have fun go and get a hobby, we are here because we love the warriors and want to chat to other fans about the movie... What more could you want.
Compaired to other forums i have seen, this forum has a very very friendly community of members. And if you get the impression WC and the mods are making the forum rules more stict its because they want to keep it that way, and stop all the countless crap that is normally posted.

The only reason some members are leaving is because they are sick of the way the forum was, with the countless waves of stupid one day members just joining so that they can get banned.
So the way i see things is..... the rules may seem to be getting stricter to some people, but to others it is so they can enjoy themselves and chat to the friends they have made on here... many members want the forum to go back to how it was when it first started.. and i think that is what WC and the mods are trying to accomplish.

From what i have seen the mods have had a very hard time these past few months keeping the forum in control. Like cowboy rules said things where fine before the game arrived, however i would not know i joined in March a few months after the game came out.. but i can honestly say that me joining had nothing to do with the game.
But since i joined, i could see the moral and patients of hardcore members fall dramatically due to cross refrencing and pointless posts.

WC and the mods have done a superb job in geting the forum back on track, however some people don't appreciate hard work when they see it.
none taken wigan that was just a bit of a mess around

Wigan, your BIG post made perfect sense to me, fella. Especially this bit:

"So the way i see things is..... the rules may seem to be getting stricter to some people, but to others it is so they can enjoy themselves and chat to the friends they have made on here... many members want the forum to go back to how it was when it first started.. and i think that is what WC and the mods are trying to accomplish."

I think you hit the nail on the head with that bit.

I may be stating the obvious, but the way I saw this whole 'fall of the forums' thing was like this: In the beginning there were lots of topics that inspired people to reply. Topics that were fresh and made people WRITE and maybe make a few friends along the way. Then you had an influx of new members that, rather than carry on with current threads, wanted to start new topics left right and center, and post stuff that the older members had read/discussed/resolved already (not to mention a ton of downright stupid topics thrown in the mix). To the 'O.G.s' of the forum this was disheartening... and eventually something needed to be done. And so, we now have the tougher rules to get things back on track.

The forum does feel a little more 'comfortable' than what it did, so hopefully things are going in the right direction...  :D

I've read all your comments and I was gonna say that Wigan Warrior hit the nail on the head before I read that LIPPY had used that exact quote!  :D

The forum rules have remained essentially unchanged since we started out - 5 posts a day, and post no rubbish. I have seen quite a significant change since I blocked incoming newbloods which is why I opened up the game section and off topic sections once again since I feel that the members we do have now respect these sections.

I am going to have to let newbloods in at somepoint but this will be strictly regulated and will involve some sort of pre-screening, or maybe even a newbloods forum where they cant post elsewhere.

Improvements are still being made ...

Yes, I agree. The forum really has changed for the better since you closed the flood gates. And to everyone who misses karma, i still kinda do, its not coming and no matter how much you say lets bring back karma! Its not gonna happen. Everyone being equals is really put this forum on a level, no one can judge some one just by looking at their karma points. We are getting better on the track were on. Lets keep it this way.

I have to agree about the rules, without them it would be complete anarchy around here and nothing would make sense.  In some cases if you start letting the little things go you can lose control pretty fast and I could see that happening here if Warchief and the mods were not here, and if that were so I would have been out of here a long time ago.  I am seeing glimpses of what things were like before creeping back in and I know if I wait it out things will get good again.
