if anyone is interested in staging a one off 40th anniversary Warriors screening in the UK (february 2019), i've done some rudimentary research re birmingham
e.g. the mac theatre - https://macbirmingham.co.uk/hire/room/c ... screenings
so - 150 seats are in that cinema
it is £350 to hire + VAT (which is a 17.5% addition I believe = 61.25)
(So the total is £350 + £61.25 = £411.25)
A 10% ticket commission is taken by The Mac - so e.g. a ticket setting of £5 earns £4.80 and £10 earns £9 etc.
So 150 x 4 = 600
(Minus the commission is 150 x 3.70 = 555)
Whereas 150 x 3 (in reality 2.70) sets the bar too low at 405.
So - £4 a ticket with all 150 seats sold would do it.
So is it a goer?
(Let me know if my maths is wrong or if i've omitted something important etc)
i've put feelers out to the 2 other small cinemas in Birmingham too (the Electric and Mockingbird) - they might offer even better options

The Mockingbird showed the film last year for the UK conclave. Nice mini cinema but I'm not sure if you can fit enough people in there to keep costs low. (It's also a pain in the arse to find if you're not local. Even the taxi driver struggled)

the mockingbird cinema came back to me - it turns out they are planning an anniversary screening anyway
so in theory the hire cost now is nothing beyond just a ticket each (they'll probably charge about £8 - £10 a ticket?)
the (hidden) narrow walkway to it in birmingham city centre is at the junction of heath mill lane and digbeth - i'm willing to dress as cleon wearing the headwear and warriors jacket (and with a sign etc) and stand there for about an hour beforehand directing people - digbeth is a main road so I will easily be spotted by anyone passing looking for it.
the mockingbird want to know how fans are planning on promoting such a screening - or anything else special that is being planned alongside it
(see their website in the original post)

At this point in time, I can't see Egbaston cricket ground holding a warriors event next year. Shame, as last year's went well. Fingers crossed something official is organised in NY.
