Does anybody know of a decent venue for the Conclave for end-August?

Warchief as I said in the other posts, CONEY is undergoing a full make-over. Most EVERYTHING will probably be shut down in and around the beach. NYC is trying to demolish most of what is there and rebuild a new MECCA Amusement center with a CONVENTION HALL. I think maybe looking in to having it in manhatten as there are many sites to hold it with adequate room (PENN PLAZA PAVILLION they hold BIG APPLE CON there and there is room for dealers, signings, forums and screenings). I just do not think there will be something for us in Coney. Just my 2 cents.

I think you are right. Not having been to NYC, I need to know which venues are decent. I'll look into the one you suggested.

We gotta at least make the trek to Coney even if we don't hang there for long though. The Wonder Wheel and cyclone are running. The neighborhood immediately outside the park area can get dodgy pretty fast though....  Since they never actually went to the Bronx while filming, maybe starting at Riverside Park and 97th st, (where the film meeting was shot) makes sense...?
Also, my old apt, (that I'm currently subletting out and is actually IN the film is on 100th st and The Warriors run right by it while being chased by The Furies) is right nearby...



When I moved there 10 yrs. ago I was psyched, "Dudes! My window's in "The Warriors" Bars on far left are one of my windows.

Hello!!  It has been a while.  My name is Emissary and I'm a bit of a golden-ager.  I haven't been around in along time.  But in my day, we talked about all our plans for summer 09.  I would go if Warchief and Fox and SHM and those core guys who I battled with on the regular. are all going.  Is Ranchgal still around?  I'll always appreciate the "high-end" Warriors discussions that I had, that nobody else in the world would be able to hang with.
