Well, not really in the Bronx, but I thought that now that the weather's getting warmer and the days are getting longer, some of the NY members could meet somewhere in the city to shoot the breeze & get to know one another.

I think since we are spread out a good place to meet would be in Manhattan, since it's pretty central to everything & easy to get to. Most likely a weekday after work, like 6 or 7:00 so we could avoid the weekenders & tourists. A good place to meet could be the food court in Manhattan Mall on 34th street. They have a lot of tables & as long as you have a soda or something no one breaks your chops.

So, lets get a head count on who would be interested so we can finalize our plans and take over 1 boro at a time

You'll have to let us know how you all get on. I would love to but, hopefully later in the year.

But not even,We meet in Coney,take the train up to maybe the Bronx,and on the train,we shoot the breath,and all..And I know exactly where to meet up in Coney,next to that Warriors Sign!! How bout it!!

I was thinking of Coney when I first thought of this, since I could walk there from my house, but I was trying to be fair to people who live in the Bronx & Queens. Also anyone in Jersey could jump on the PATH if they're close to it & wanna come.

It's up to everyone else. A Coney Island trip is also something that could be discussed at the initial meeting.

I know theres Star Wars groups that get together like this and plan all kinds of trips & stuff. They seem to have fun.

I was thinking of trying to do this within the next couple of weeks, but right now you & Tantive are the only ones to even show interest.

i don't suppose, we could meet in chi, and pretend it's n.y.c.??? lololol didn't think so!! oh well! tell ya what though, do it in mid or late summer, and i'll make the trip!! always like a good road trip!!

Late summer is open for me...late August, early September.

thanks tantive7 just may take you up on that! i've been to NYC several times (it is my favorite city in all the usa) but there's nothing like having an insider give you a tour!
