Just watched the Hollywood "remake" of Assualt on Precinct 13 and must say what a pile of doggy do it was.

The key thing I did get from this remake was a real appreciation for the orginal and how good a director John Carpenter. It also highlighted how important a good musical score adds to a film, something modern day hollywood seems to have forgotton.

One question about the remake plot, why didn't the heavily armed bad boy cops just tear gas the police station, this would have ended the film much sooner and saved me the pain of having to watch this crap.

Don't even get me started on this one

The original is listed in my top 5 films of all time.

I never saw the original, but what was stopping all those heavily armed guys from just blasting their way through the station and wasting everybody? If everything is already all covered up, why are they being so stealthy?

Oh and Ja Rule should be thrown to the lions.

i watched the original a few years back...my dada got the dvd.!

its pretty good innit!

The remake just hasn`t got the same suspense as the original.The blood brother gang who attack the station in the original are genuinaly scary,cops attacking in the remake just didn`t do it for me.Plus the music in the original adds to the claustrophobia,can`t remember the music in the remake!

You know, I wish they would show English soccer (football, I like that word better) here in the States more. They only show it while I am at work. I have to follow it thru the internet. I do watch Mexican football, Spanish, and Italian, also when they show it. I do like Liverpool very much!!!!

By the way Fox,Guernsey......what a great place,i lived there in 1990 for a few months when Oliver Reed lived there.You dont know a biker called Kirk who`s dad Stan was the leader of the Guernsey Hells Angels?I worked for these guys back then.

Not by name. My Cousin is in the Guernsey branch of Hells Angels (The Full Bore) so i'll ask him. Not really my scene but, they don't bother me and my cousin is a top guy.

Not my scene neither but they kinda looked out for me out there,being a 20 year old young buck!,your cousin will know em as it`s such a small island,just say big bald Stan,the only man who could beat Ollie Reed in a armwrestle hands down!,there can`t be many like him....
As for Liverpool,what a waste of £30 today.....Chelsea weren`t even that good and still kicked our ass 4-1......
